My GF and I stayed her For three days in March. We were in the upstairs pink building. We liked the location of Mara's Place, near the split. The rooms are small but adequate. The deck with a hammock and chairs was nice. The staff are helpful, and friendly. The beach and dock out front were great for hanging out... More

I made a reservation for Mara's Place solely based on reviews I found online which looked reasonable and because my wife and I were traveling over the Christmas season and didn't want to find ourselves on the island without any vacancies. I wish I hadn't, as Mara's might be the worst place I've ever stayed. We made a reservation for... More

This place is pretty good, small little cabbins that are clean and have hot water. They have a private deck and dock for guests only and we were always the only ones on it. You can swim from it and it has hamocks. One thing to be aware of is this place also sells drinks to people from the street,... More

Had a wonderful trip to Caye Caulker for New Years. Rooms were super cute, staff was very accommodating/helpful, and the location was perfect-just steps from the split where there is swimming. Also, Mara's Place also has a private dock with chairs and hammocks. The island is small, so walking everywhere is quite easy. Would definitely stay here again in the... More

Had a great time at Caye Caulker in January 15. We stayed at Mara's Place and were really happy with it. Extremely close to the split and the only good place to swim. Close to everything - bars and restaurants. Nice sea breeze through the rooms, we had the ceiling fans on low and rooms getting hot in the day... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Mara’s Place for 10 days recently on the recommendation of my brother. He was spot on, the place was perfect!! There is no bells and whistles, and if you are looking for the feather top mattress, jacuzzi tub, mini bar experience of an all exclusive then this place isn’t for you. However, if... More

Staying at Mara's was recommended to me by a friend who had been here years ago. My husband and I came to Caye Caulker on our honeymoon this week and have had an incredible time. We wanted someplace affordable without excess amenities so that we could mostly relax on the beach. The room, bathroom, and shower were clean. Bed was... More

Only planned on staying here for 2 nights but we loved it so much we ended up staying 4. Comes with wifi and fans. No need for AC with the ocean breeze coming through your window. Great staff! We definitely will be planning another stay here.

For $37.50 per night this place can't be beat! I had my own room, private bath, and 2 full-sized beds with a private porch and hammock. Room and bathroom were clean, shower, sink and toilet all worked properly, and the owners were very pleasant.

We stayed ay Mara's Place for a full week. Loved it!!! We had the best cabin ever ( in my opinion), since we were the first one towards the sea shore (so we would get a constant breeze). The cabin was very clean and comfortable (just like their flyer said) and we had a beautiful view. We were really close... More
