!!!!WARNING!!!! Reef Village, now known as Barrier Reef Resort has not refunded my security deposit. It's been 3 months since I left Belize and all they done is give me fake promises. It is always "tomorrow" and "soon". At first they blamed Belize banks, I then offered them to use any online wallet or paypal or western union, to which... More

Of course when we booked we were not informed of the pool and restaurant issues. Had my time share company call then and were giving a lot of lies, but we had already booked it. There were only 4 units rented and yet we were put on the bottom floor with no view. When we checked in I asked if... More

We booked our 2 week (April 2014) vacation at Reef Village and it's nothing like it was 3 years ago at Reef Village. When we arrived there was no pool (green water), restaurant or bar. Reason being there is no running water running up to that area. Apparently the pool has not been open for several months. When I go... More

Our trip to Belize turned out fairly well all things considered. Our "vacation" was booked through Interval International. First of all, as "timeshare people" we were pretty much stuck with whatever accommodations were available. These turned out to be a resort called "Reef Village" on an island called Ambergris Cay. Potentially an extremely nice property, but somewhat in a state... More

We booked a week at the Reef Village Resort through an Internal International exchange. We have been members for over 25 years and exchanged at least annually. This resort was the first time that I made a formal complaint to Interval International. The manager, David, is as helpful as he can be, considering what his has to work with. First,... More

The new management of this condo complex are working to fix up existing problems, but our condo unit itself was VERY spacious, the veranda was to die for, to be able to look out over the Caribbean from the back door and watch dolphins from our sofa, and look over the lagoon from the back door was amazing. Management tended... More

We chose this place as a last minute, last option decision. The price was way over our expected budget, but we had no other choice as this is high season and there were no other short term rentals available, that we could find. The condo was amazing, two bedroom, very beautiful. The ladies who were cleaning our unit when we... More

If I could give this place a negative rating, I would give it a minus 5. The management team are crooks and would do anything to get your money. They bait and switched us to stay in this 'resort' that has no pool, no views, in a lagoon that has still dank, stinky water. They never told us that they... More

Our list in the order the worst first: sewer smell, no pool, huge pot holes, no restaurant, no public bathrooms, unit run down, worst bed ever, blinds falling down. We use to love this place. HOA and the Developer better get back on track or you are looking at a dump. Please put some dirt where all the sewer spilled.... More
