This is a great little spot in Ambergris. Very reasonable rates, and a perfect location near the north of the main island -- 5-10 minute walk down the beach to the main area of town. It consists of cute little cabanas (we stayed in the Casita Cabana, which was perfect) and a concrete building with rooms. It has it's own... more

Hotel del Rio was the perfect getaway! We stayed in Cabana Chica, which is two steps away from the cheaper rooms in Hotel del Rio, but it was worth it for the thatched roof and sea breeze. Clean room, sheets and towels changed daily, refridgerator in room, located a few feet from the sea, large dock (shared with Caye Casa)... more

There were four of us on a "get a way" trip. We stayed at the Dream House for 10 days and Loved it. We did not want an all inclusive, or a resort, but to get a feel of the island. Very simple hotel with a great peaceful location. Stayed in the chico cabana right on the beach with a fab view from the deck.
