Everything about Barnsley Resort was fantastic! All of us, 4 people and 2 labs (dogs) thought it was an incredible place to go. The staff caters to your every whim. The resort is absolutely beautiful. SmartStay days made it very affordable. We will definitely go there again and highly recommend this resort, especially to people who want to take their... More

This was our eighth trip to Barnsley. We continue to return and to recommend to friends because it is consistently outstanding and reliable. This property is halfway between Chattanooga and Atlanta, but if off the beaten path. There is historical significance to the property, but that would not be the most compelling reason to visit. The resort is comprised of... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barnsley. Rooms were well appointed & luxurious. Staff was very attentive & friendly. Enjoyed lunch at the Woodlands grill, a relaxing swim & drinks at the pool , then beautiful dinner by a very talented chef! We walked around the ruins at night...pretty & a little spooky! We were only here for one... More

We decided to get away for a few days with the dogs and enjoy a weekend in North Georgia. We could not have selected a better property! The hiking trails, gardens and the entire layout of the property was were amazing. The food at the Woodland Grill was outstanding and has a beautiful view of the golf course as well.... More

I am just back from a two day, two night work retreat at Barnsley. I have to say I was truly impressed and can't wait to return as a recreational guest. The staff was amazing - from Tim giving us a great tour upon arrival to Carl and Bob with Spring Bank and Jason and Stephanie from food and beverage... More

My sister and I arranged for our family to spend a week at the Barnsley for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. What an over-the-top experience! The property feels like a fairytale. The property mimics a 1850s town with little cottages encircling a grassy open space. You can play lawn games and roast marshmallows for smores. The cottages are modern and... More

Spent two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Restaurants well very nice, as we're the staff and gardens. Try the frisbee golf...great way to get some exercise if you'd like an alternative to golfing. A bit pricey for what you get in the way of services but given the weekly half-price rooms (Usually midweek) I'd definitely recommend a visit to... More

The old ruins are nice and historically interesting. However, unless you like golf or sleeping, the rest of the property is boring. The cottage rooms are also in need of some updating as they look like they were designed in the last 90's with a lot of brass fixtures. We called the front desk for two extra champagne glasses as... Having lived in the USA for 15 years after growing up in the UK, this was a nostalgic walk down memory lane. Superb customer service standards and very comfortable accommodations. Great golf course and walking trails for the dogs who were made very welcome too.

I cannot say enough about how unbelievably awesome this place is for a getaway. I can't even list all the amenities - golf, spa, farm to table food, hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, clay shooting, pool, shopping, beer garden, concerts, s'mores, surprises from the Fairy Godmother, gardens, ruins, museum, contemplative spots throughout, bocce ball, horseshoes, hammocks, claw foot tubs, large...
