Hotel opened in 1926 and is historic. It has been open ever since. They must be doing something right. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Rooms are being updated as time allows. They are often filled for special occasions I live in the town and place my out of town guests here. Food is good including the buffet and the sandwiches... More

We stayed here for three nights as a romantic get away and fell in love with the hotel. It was built in 1926, so don't be expecting everything to be like a modern built hotel. They have tried to maintain a balance between old charm and modern convenience. The lobby was beautiful and a lovely place to just sit and... More

We stayed in this historic hotel while visiting friends in the area. Hotel has charm; built in 1920. Lobby is beautiful; rooms very much in need of updating. Wait til you ride on the hotel's original elevator made by Otis in 1920; you don't operate it, a staffer does. We ate one dinner in restaurant, and it was mediocre. Still,... More

Need reservations. Outstanding food and service. I felt as though my mamma was in the kitchen. Atmosphere was inviting, piano was played in the background. Lovely. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and was stunning.

An awesome historical hotel. So much to see just wondering around the lobby. Definitely a step back in time if you .lf you enjoy history (and we do) it's a great place to stay. Employees are extremely helpful and so polite. So close for restaurants and pubs, can walk to them.

Yesterday was the Smithsonian's Museum Day Live, and we have been wanting to go to nearby Bok Tower Gardens for quite a while now. We wanted to stay overnight, so we found this little gem! I was a little leary at first, as the room prices seemed quite affordable for the ambiance of a grand lady. From the moment you... More

There are no words to describe this amazing hotel. I booked it for a weekend with my teenage kids. They loved it. They were intrigued by the old elevator, old telephone and amazing old doors. Everything is maintained and clean. The room was amazing, the staff was great. I will definately go again. It's an incredible part of our history.

I wanted to stay at the Jacaranda since I was a kid first visiting relatives who retired nearby. For over 50 years I often shopped in Avon Park and wandered into the lobby. I recall the old hardware store on the corner with sliding ladder to reach the items on high shelves! Three of my college friends wanted to go... More
