We were on vacation and spent a day exploring the park, walking along the trails and just relaxing by the spring. We rented a canoe and went down the river...we observed nature at its best....there were turtles, birds and alligators along the river....made our visit even more exciting. The park provides areas for cooking/grilling and has a kiosk that offers... More

We recently spent four nights at Wekiwa and we loved it. We have a large fifth wheel (38 feet), but we managed to get in our spot without much trouble. Some of the sites are a little tight, but they are manageable with a big rig. Most of the sites have quite a bit of tree cover, which can make... More

On chatting to some other local holiday makers who were staying at our complex , they had just returned from Wekiva and were raving about it . Sounded like our type of thing so we all set off to Wekiva state park the following day with our 2 boys . And what a fun day we had . After a... More

I used to live about 30 mins from here and I enjoyed going there to swim, bike and run. The mosquitos are horrible though so do not forget your deet! This is a frequently visited and over populated park on the weekends and holidays so the place looks worn out and does not receive the best maintenance. Overall though Ive... More

We were introduced to this springs by local friends. So glad they asked us to go along! Wekiwa was on my 10 years old's "Top 3" list from our entire vacation. No glitz, no plastic. Just a good old-fashioned (cold) swimming hole. And more...which you can read in the other reviews. ;-)

This is a beautiful state park that is easily visited from Orlando. The main attraction is swimming in the Wekiwa Springs. The large springs are developed for easy access and public use. There is a large grassy area for sunbathing as well as picnic tables in wooded areas. A short nature trail with a boardwalk starts next to the springs.... More

Wekiwa Springs is a great state park. We camped there with our RV. Springs are beautiful. You can canoe or kayak down the river seeing wildlife. On our kayak trip we saw herons, turtles, snake and yes alligators. The camp sites are well maintained. Not all campsites have sewer, so be aware which site you book if you would like... More

This was our first time at this campground and it won't be our last. The campsites were spacious and clean. The bathhouse was well maintained. Stay away from the sites above 15 because of traffic noise. Lastly the actual spring is wonderful.

Campsites are well maintained. Many are not shaded so we were happy for cool weather. Nice areas to walk. The only downside is the distance from the campground to the spring which is a long walk so be prepared with bicycles or vehicle.
