This is a beautiful state park that is easily visited from Orlando. The main attraction is swimming in the Wekiwa Springs. The large springs are developed for easy access and public use. There is a large grassy area for sunbathing as well as picnic tables in wooded areas. A short nature trail with a boardwalk starts next to the springs.... More

Wekiwa Springs is a great state park. We camped there with our RV. Springs are beautiful. You can canoe or kayak down the river seeing wildlife. On our kayak trip we saw herons, turtles, snake and yes alligators. The camp sites are well maintained. Not all campsites have sewer, so be aware which site you book if you would like... More

This was our first time at this campground and it won't be our last. The campsites were spacious and clean. The bathhouse was well maintained. Stay away from the sites above 15 because of traffic noise. Lastly the actual spring is wonderful.

Campsites are well maintained. Many are not shaded so we were happy for cool weather. Nice areas to walk. The only downside is the distance from the campground to the spring which is a long walk so be prepared with bicycles or vehicle.

We stopped by this park on a return trip from Jacksonville. Just killing time to avoid the rush hour traffic through Tampa. This park is beautiful! The spring looks so inviting, I wished we had our swim suits ready to go. We cruised through the camp site as well, always scouting for a new location to camp. The camp site... More

This was our first trip to this stet park and we are already planning a return trip. Many of the sites have sewer hookups, which is convenient. The trails with wildlife are amazing. We saw deer, hog, and turkeys. The canoeing is brilliant although there was a close encounter with bird droppings. The campsites are spacious but some of the... More

Wekiwa springs is a beautiful place! Rented a canoe and paddled down the peaceful river. Saw tons of wildlife and very few people which was a plus! The water was crystal clear and beautiful. They had a cute nature center with very informative staff on the species in or around the state park. Also had hiking trails, camping an picnic... More

We liked it a lot! Springs were just amazing: pristine cristal clear waters to swim; then, the marvelous river where you can go canoeing...! Unfortunately, we did not have the time for the canoe but, we won't miss it next time. Seeing just the beautiful surroundings at the beginning of the river, we really regretted not having had the time.... More

Watch out for the unobtrusive entrance, but once in you will find good access to the park. If unadventurous then after a cooling paddle in the main spring, go over and hire the 4 man paddle boat for a scoot around the feeder pool for the river, you can see alligators, turtles, gar fish, locust, butterflies and so much that... Camped for two nights at the campground. Complete hookups; water, electric and sewage. Wooded sites. The spring is large and very nice and has a lot of families that visit the park to swim. There is a large grass area around the spring for sunning, picnicking etc. Kayak/canoe rentals are available and the trip on the river is very pretty... More
