We walked in and got a very nice room. I wish we hadn't given it up to be closer to the beach at St. George Island, because we had a nightmare stay at the St. George Inn after this great place. The ambiance here is nice, the clientele upscale. Not much breakfast, and it's cold, but it's good enough. The... More

The most enjoyable 2 nights of an annual "girls'" trip - I will and have already recommended the Gibson Inn to several friends for a stay. The continental breakfast was enough to get us started in the morning. Happy Hour on the veranda was a pleasant way to end our day.

We were traveling the Florida panhandle in our RV camper and were frustrated there were no campgrounds near Apalachicola - a great little town we really wanted to spend time in (and we were not disappointed once there!!). So, after wandering in and looking around a bit, we splurged and booked a couple nights. What a beautiful early 20th century... More

We loved the history of this hotel. The staff was amazing and very very helpful. I do have to say if you stay here stay on the opposite side of the hotel away from the road. Road does get very noisy at night. But the location of the hotel is awesome for sight seeing

This Inn is so full of American History. We enjoyed our weekend there and hearing about the history of the Inn. The employees are so nice and friendly. The best service from check in to check out. Here are a few tips... There is no elevator so if you book on the 3rd floor your walking up stairs (like we... More

We participated in the Murder Mystery weekend. It was amazing. The weekend was fun and non-stop. When we arrived, we went straight to the bar and enjoyed relaxing with a couple of drinks. The rooms were quaint and we ended up sleeping with the resident cat both nights...or should I say the resident cat ended up sleeping with us! We... More

Having traveled extensively, this is at the top of my list of amazing hotels. The reasons are many. The staff was ever helpful and very warm and friendly. The inn is magical. I hope we can return there. Salem, the sweet black cat, pretty much owns the place! He was wonderful too. Our rooms were fantastic (we experienced two of... More

This is our second trip to Apalachicola, but our first stay at the Gibson Inn. It's a lovely, old- fashioned place with wraparound porches and a spacious lobby. The old bar is a nice place for a drink (especially on a cold winter day), and the bartender made us some wonderful martinis! We were happy they allowed us to have... More

The Gibson has all the old inn charm you want. The rooms on the top floor are the quietest with village views. Apalachicola is a must see historic town. Take a bike and ride around and look at the beautiful houses and streets. The inn's restaurant is very good and the bar with polished wood is one of my favorites.... More
