We went to Gibson Inn for our honeymoon and loved it. While the room was older, we found it clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed having breakfast in the restaurant, and the pub menu at the bar was wonderful. We're young, 22, and did feel a bit out of place as they do seem to attract a slightly older crowd... more

What a terrible disappointment. Having come from Dolphin island and driving through the panhandle of FL we were so looking forward to a wonderful experience. Started at the bar for a wonderful happy hour, continued our night with dinner at a local's favorite "Papa Joe's" and then on to the Spoonbill (the bar on the 2nd floor of the Apalachicola River Inn) definitely would recommend. had a great time! more

We stayed this past weekend. The manager was rude and treated us like we had wandered in off of the street. Not like people who stay there a couple of times a year - which we do. My wife and I made a second trip to Apalachicola and the Gibson Inn recently. Just like our first trip a couple of years ago, this one was equally terrific. The 2nd floor king suite with direct access to the porch is now our favorite room. As usual the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. PJ was very helpful... more
