This place has the potential to be great. The location and the food are outstanding. However, there is no attention to detail and the attitude about it is--we're sorry but that's just the way it is. When we arrived, we had a hard time opening the door. There was about a quarter inch gap between the knob and the door,... More

Like a previous poster I expected more. Bed super uncomfortable tossed and turned all night. Not sure how long it's been since washing blanket and comforter but the were tossed on floor. Tub very slow to drain and stood in 4" water while taking a shower. I don't need a mint on my pillow but spruce up is needed. Chairs... More

Had an enjoyable time at the inn. Loved that we were on the bay. It was nice and peaceful during the sunset and good company at night. Got to see an alligator and dolphin swim by. Rooms were decent but the breakfast at Caroline ' s was a delightful treat. Will visit again...

Okay- so this is not necessarily a place for those who are high maintenance. It's a very comfortable, quaint, relaxing place. Our room was clean, large and had a great private balcony on the 2nd floor. We loved sitting on the porch just chilling, reading, watching the boats and birds. We even saw a couple dolphins. The bed was very... More

After reading other reviews, we had high expectations for this Inn. A few things to note, the Inn website reads that it has wifi. This is only in the hotel lobby which is not very inviting. In 2014 it's too easy to provide wifi throughout the property not to do it. Very disappointed in this. Also, the ceiling fan in... More

Stayed over July 4th weekend in a 2nd floor room. Accommodations we're clean and comfortable and the view couldn't be beat. If you like the being near water this a great place to try. The rooms face approx due East so the sunrise is a beautiful sight. Breakfast at Caroline's is a treat. We sat outside and it was a... More

We spent 4th of July in this rustic, cozy little inn. The room was clean and comfortable. We sat on our private second floor balcony to watch the fireworks, and to just enjoy the view. It's a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a private low key getaway. My only objection is there was no hair dryer... More

joanmarie87, Thanks for your kind review. The Apalachicola River Inn is a one of a kind property on the mighty Apalachicola River, the only inn on the Apalachicola river and the only one there ever will be. That's a true definition of "grandfathered in". It is worth the effort to check us out. Come see our rooms, come to the river.... More

We stayed at the ARI on 6/25 with our two teenage boys and it was really a nice stop along our way east from PCB. The town of Apalachicola is so cute and old fishing village-style. We had dinner at Boss Oyster (one of the two restaurants owned by the Inn's owners) - see separate review for the dinner. A... More

Thanks for your kind review, Dear travelers to Apalachicola. Can we invite you to stay at our inn. This is Old Florida at its best. Our inn is built on ancient docks that were there in the steam boat cotton days when when cotton was king. We entice you with a cooked to order breakfast on the river for each... More

This hotel has character, and I think we get it! We stayed over Mother's Day Weekend in May. There was a mix-up in our reservations ( don't know who's to blame for it) and but they quickly and efficiently took care of us. The gal at the desk even called another guest who had not arrived, to see if they... More
