My wife and I had the opportunity, to stay here for a Saturday and Sunday night. The rooms are very clean roomy, and offer a million dollar view of the Apalachicola River. Location is excellent, allowing a walking self guided tour of the historic Apalachicola riverfront, and the Oyster bars, Including Boss Oyster, which is part of this property The Inn... More

We stopped in Apalachicola on our drive home from New Orleans & we were pleasantly surprised at the warm friendliness of this little town. The staff at this hotel are all so nice & we even chatted up with the guests. We had a waterfront room & watched the most amazing sunrises & sunsets from our balcony. And the breakfast... More

This was probably the worst experience I have had in vacation hotel. The first thing I noticed was while walking up the outside stairwell, how rotten the stairs were and one stair, you could see that the board was rotted away and could see the ground. Then we went for dinner at Caroline's and I ordered the steak and when... More

Barry w 8, Barrie Canada, I truly believe you were disappointed. In our humble opinion you missed the point. The Apalachicola River Inn is the only waterfront inn on the downtown historic river front in Apalachicola. It is built of pecky cypress board and batten wood harvested from the river bottom for centuries, like all of the riverfront properties in... More

My wife and I stayed at the Apalachicola River Inn for the Run for the Bay Marathon. We were excited about spending a relaxing weekend in historic Apalachicola and thought we were signing up for a B&B type experience (which this is clearly not). Upon arriving at the Inn we checked in and entered our room and immediately a strong,... More

Sullivand, We look forward each year for the wonderful marathon runners. You stayed 2 days in such horrible conditions. You hated the room???? You looked at the room before staying. You could have left anytime. We would have refunded your money gladly because we had people waiting for a room. You knew that. We would gladly to have called around to find... More

We have stayed both upstairs and down. Love sitting out on the porch looking at the water. Breakfast is always wonderful and tops anywhere we have stayed. Already have made my next reservations. The rooms are very nice and we live walking around town enjoying all that it offers.

A very nice place. Extremely clean. I have enjoyed the view of the water. I will come back and stay again. It is the last of September, very quite. A lot different from Daytona. We have had the most relaxing time. Boss Oyster and Caroline Diner has good food. The Blue Parrot at Saint George Island is another great place... More

They call this area Florida's " forgotten coast." Selfishly, I hope it stays forgotten. It is beautiful, but hard to get to and uncrowded. This establishment is in an old building right on the river. The rooms are nicely furnished. Each room has a deck overlooking the river. Boss Oysters and Caroline's Restaurant are at opposite ends of the complex.... More

Yes, there is a heavy humidity in the area, but the RiverInn simply handled it greatly. The room was clean and comfortable, the view amazing and the calm and peace for a few days was spectacular. A plus... we could keep our little dog with us. Kind people and nice place :)

This was the biggest surprise of our whole trip. We had booked most hôtels but had 3 nights where we just stopped when we were tired ad expected to find a motel or the likes. We found this hotel and honestly wished we could have stayed longer! Very affordable, beautiful room on the waterfont with a balcony, great for bird... More

Cool with a tons of character. Still has the looks of a fifties hotel. We stayed in a second story room with a great balcony with a fabulous view the lake. On Monday the oyster boat unloaded and cleaned their catch on site, very cool! Clean and affordable!
