My husband and I booked reservations with the Inn about a month in advance. We wanted a King room and none were available for the first night of our stay, but would be available for the remainder of our stay. So, on the morning following check-in (Which by the way, was flawless!) They allowed us to look at a King... More

If you are expecting a manicured chain-type experience, this is not for you. If the fact that the balcony door does not fully open because the floor is warped, or if stains on the ceiling negatively impact your impression, this is not for you. However, if you want a very serene, semi-rustic throw-back to days gone by, you will love... More

First off, this place is sporting a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, which I can't see how they possibly managed to get. I booked the Rose Room, which the website calls a suite. It is not a suite; it's a single bedroom with a bathroom. This whole property has the potential to be awesome, if only they would do a little... More

This unique and charming inn was just the kind of place we were looking for in a local waterside experience. Although the rustic exterior made us feel hesitant, we felt that what we had read online made it worth further investigation. We found a charming manager, a great deal, just the right kind of room (I am always impressed by... More

My wife & I have never stayed anywhere like this before. It has a lot of atmosphere compared to a chain hotel and is a complete change of pace. The problem with Apalachicola is that it's almost too quiet; the town is really old without enough to keep you busy for long. St George Island State Park is gorgeous and... More

This is the second time that we stayed here, so we knew what to expect. The rooms are spacious with nice linens and a great little deck that has a wonderful view of the water. The breakfast is amazing with fresh squeezed orange juice and a great selection of entrees. We have tried the oyster omelet as well as the... More

This inn is not a condo type stay. It reminds me of what it would have been like in Florida many many years ago. It is a two story inn, no refrigerator, no wifi, no microwave, no coffee pot, no hairdryer. You get the basics and that's all you need. The rooms were big and comfortable. Hot shower. The beds... luvnicubabies, Thanks for staying at The Apalachicola River inn. Thanks for "getting it." Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. For the record, and I am sure you know, wifi is available in the reception area and on swings along the water (if needed). Hair dryers are available at the front desk(if needed). Please hurry back. The Good: Beautiful view of the water and of the boats going by. Plenty of towels. The breakfast was very good. The Bad: There is a strong moldy smell throughout this unit. Bed cover faded and had bleach stains. Only one night stand. Had to use a chair for the second one. One small mirror in bathroom and that was... More

Don't believe the description of this hotel...beautifully appointed rooms, recently remodeled, utmost in quality, yada, yada, yada. It's not true! Everything in the room was very dated. There was a strong musty odor and the carpet felt damp. Running the air conditioner helped lessen the smell. The outside deck was nice, but the chairs were dirty. On a positive note,... More

The title of this review says it all pretty much. This is a much older establishment but you can tell the owners put a lot of effort into maintaining this inn. Our room was recently freshly painted in a lovely lavender. We asked for a room on the second floor and had an amazing view of the shrimp boats and... More
