My husband and I returned to Apalachicola for our 25th wedding anniversary. We live in central Florida and over the years have explored the Florida panhandle and realized that we are blessed to have unmatched natural beauty within a few hours drive from our home. Apalachicola made a perfect three day getaway. We wanted to hang out together walk the... more

We have only recently moved to Florida. My husband and I wanted a quick getaway from the busy city life here in Tallahassee and we found it in nearby Apalachicola!! It's a very quaint and historic little town right on the water. We found the Apalachicola River Inn overlooking the water as we came across the bridge(look for INN sign... more

We have children ages 9 and 10. We were hesitant about staying at a place with no pool but the kids didn't seem to mind and were very excited about being on the water with their own balcony. We were late arriving on Sat evening. The very friendly and helpful lady at the front desk(Ann) took care of everything for... more

Visiting the States, we decided to go to Florida and travel the highways. We came upon a tiny little place in the middle of the gulf that was just as cute and serene as it could be. The name was Apalachecola river inn. We enjoyed it so much. The rooms were done with style and very comfortable looking over the... more

Thanks to all for the wonderful reviews. When you stay at the Apalachicola River inn you get a complimentary home cooked breakfast at our lovely waterfront Caroline's River dining. And yes a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice we have been squeezing oranges at Caroline's for 19 years because you can get concentrate any where. Try our brand new evening...

This place was quiet and very quaint. It truly is relaxing with our balcony looking onto the river. We watched boats come and go. The weather was warm with lots of sunshine which was exactly what we were looking for in Florida. The people here were very nice and did what they could to make us feel at home. Very... more

This place was very laid back and just what we were searching for on our getaway to the states. Relaxing atmosphere. Gorgeous rooms overlooking the river. The breakfast was very filling and free. The restaurant had the best oysters I ever tried and I had to try them alot of ways while I was there! The wife loved the shopping... more

While traveling the south, we decided to stop in this little historic town and check it out! Wow!!! Was it worth it!! The motel we stayed at, Apalachicola River Inn, is on the bay with our private balcony facing the water. The staff has that southern hospitality and very accommodating. Very unique and quite beautiful in the rooms. The sunrise... more

We stumbled upon this "Touch of Paradise". Had a very enjoyable stay. Couldn't seem to leave the place. Everyday we'd have to sign up and stay another day. Total of six days! They give breakfast to you, not continental, but a hot full meal with fresh squeezed O.J. We also had a free drink each night @ the Spoonbill Lounge.... more

We stayed at the Apalachicola River Inn last night after viewing a web site of what looked like a beautiful B&B. It was a great disappointment and a waste of $100. The exterior was more shabby than rustic. The view of the river was the best part. Our room had fake wood panel walls and a ceiling fan we never... more

My wife, Caroline and I have owned the Apalachicola River Inn for nineteen years. For that entire time we have employed a wonderful husband and wife team for master carpentry and remodeling our piece of this wonderful town. Our rooms are not dirty!! Our reception desk is and always has been open until 10 p.m. Many of our guests do...

When you pull up to this hotel you will be wondering if you made the right decision, the front is tin sheathing and looks like a rusty warehouse. But as soon as you step into the lobby you will be amazed at the lovely surroundings. The rooms are to say the least luxourious and the view overlooking the river from the private decks... more
