Hubby surprised me for my birthday with an overnight stay at one of our favorite places. We were welcomed by Estella and a roaring fire in the fireplace. Such a wonderful, nostalgic home. We were taken on a tour and then taken to our room. We stayed in the Tupelo room and it has a very comfortable King size bed... More

We were warmly greeted on out arrival by Renee and booked into the Tupelo room, a second-floor room with lots of windows, a fireplace and a claw foot bathtub. Breakfast was excellent both days of our stay. The inn was easy walking to downtown and the waterfront. We would stay here again.

Warm and attentive hostesses who also gave you privacy to enjoy the ambiance of the property. Loved the cookies in the afternoon, the ample breakfast, and the option to borrow a bike. Rooms are well appointed and pleasantly equipped with modern conveniences surrounded with interesting antiques. Easy walking distance to town and close to area activities. Thoroughly enjoyed our two... More

The place reserves a nice experience in a small city wich has many unique surprises. Felt like I had a trip to the past, only wishing I could only spend more, since we only had one day to sightseeing and visit the secular mansion, holding many stories to reveal.

Went solo for 2 nights at the Coombs House Inn in early January. The big lobby fireplace was welcoming and warm during the stay as it was quite cold. The staff was very helpful and friendly and I felt very safe staying there. The house is beautifully remodeled and my room (the Wilson) was very roomy and comfortable. Because of... More

The Coombs House Inn exudes charm from the get-go...from the greeting of the lovely lady who manages the facility...to the yummy cookies on the ready...to the comfortable room...to the ample and tasty breakfast to the convenience to just about everything in a town, which bristles with excitement. And Coombs is nicely priced, too. Who could ask for more?

Beautiful old mansion in Apalachicola historic district, a block from town center. Been restored, all aesthetic details spot on. Service exemplary, with that personal touch that gives small towns their real charm. I'm thinking here of Estella, her warmth and culinary advice caused us to stay an unplanned 2nd night. A bit of constructive criticism however - our bed was... More

I have always love the coombshouse inn and stay everytime i go throw apalachicola. But this trip i seen something that is uncalled for. I packed up my room before breakfast then turned in my key before i ate. I believe in tipping the person that cleans up so i left 20$ in my room. As i sat in the... More

Here for 3 nights and couldn't be happier with our room, and the hospitality. We took a suite upstairs, with a large bed and nice sized bathroom. The bathroom has a shower, and a nice deep jacuzzi bathtub. Breakfast this morning was sausage, cheese, and apple quiche, and a bowl of fruit. They also put out homemade cookies in the... More

This is a nice B&B in an old antebellum house that had belonged to a prosperous family. It's been updated and electrified and wi-fied,and our room had a jacuzzi. It was a bit odd that the tub was situated in the dining/living room, and the toilet was in a claustrophobic closet, but that's the path modernization must take. The bed... More
