We stayed in room 16, in the smaller of the two properties. We were greeted by a hostess, who had been with the inn for 15 years. We were showed the house and then our room. I had asked for a king sized bed and found the room to be very tight (not surprising for a house this age but... More

We were impressed with our stay. Planned to stay one night, but stayed two, in different rooms, both of which were very clean and comfortable. Greeted by Renee, very friendly and informative. The breakfast was hot, good, and plenty of food. It was nice to stay in such a historical place with beautiful architecture and furnishings. It was a breath... More

My daughters and I stayed only for one night. Staff were very courteous. We enjoyed the cookies and coffee at check-in. We were brought to our room, which was simple but clean. Easy walk to restaurants and night life in Apalachicola. Breakfast was very good, with blueberry bread and an egg casserole with toast and fruit. The only reason I... More

We had several disappointments with the reservations and customer service. Reservation wasn't as advertised, room was in a totally different building and rate want as advertised. Our credit card was overcharged and we were told it couldn't be fixed until the following Monday. Not Military friendly 😞

I had never heard of Apalachicola when my husband suggested we meet his brother and wife there. The Coombs House was the place of choice. I am not a fan of B&Bs, but could tolerate it for one night! What a lovely surprise! We were meet at the door by a lovely lady who had worked there for about 10... More

We took a 3 week trip touring the South and this was one of our favorite places to stay. The staff was extremely friendly, the accomodations were very clean (comfy bed) and an excellent excellent breakfast - this place is a true gem!!! And be sure and eat at Hole in the Wall if you are after the oysters!!!

Coombs B&B was everything and more. The dining, the history,(regarding the house and local town) and the staff was very friendly, and charming! Staying at the Coombs B&B was a glimse into the past. The A/C was very welcoming after a day at the beach. The afternoon cookies, were just as delightful and tastsy. The room my daughter and I... More

We chose this beautiful, quaint inn in an area rich in history because we had never before visited this area of Florida, and we wanted our anniversary celebration to be special. It was indeed! The restoration work on the buildings is first rate, and the antique furnishings are lovely. We were a bit concerned when we realized no individual thermostat... More

Only two things marred our stay here. One was the cold air vent in the ceiling that poured cold air onto the foot of the bed. Yep, it was hot and humid and the cold air was otherwise welcome, but hitting you all night was uncomfortable and caused a migraine for my wife. The other was one of the clerks,... More

The estate is beautiful, breakfast was pretty good, friendly staff. Be forewarned that American currency is not accepted, even if the guest requests to pay in advance. I was informed that I would be required to go to the post office to purchase a money order if I chose not to pay on a card. I felt that arrangement was... More
