Last Minute booking by phonecall, friendly and helpful receptionst. Reception and stay felt like coming home. Nice and friendly people. Rooms are OK, nice hot shower. Clean. Nice hot swimmingpool in the middle of the hotel (I did not use it personally). Would like to spend more time during wintertime. Switzerland is not very far away if you stay at... More

What I love the most about this hotel over the other options in downtown Aspen: 1) reasonable price 2) pet friendly 3) heated swimming pool 4) full hot breakfast with fresh-squeezed orange juice included, who does that? 5) complimentary coffee, cappuccino, hot tea, hot chocolate, or ice water, available around-the-clock in the lobby 6) complimentary cookies, cupcakes, or brownies are... These are the pluses that this “retro” hotel in the heart of Aspen offers to its guest. For a town that prides itself on being pretentious the hotel is both accommodating, and relatively inexpensive. The lobby looks like it was last furnished 20 years ago but everything Was clean and comfortable and in its place. Everyone was friendly and The parking... More

The hotel is located in the heart of Aspen. Ideal location. The service is great and staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is limited by the limitations of its physical plant. It is absurd to have a parking garage that doesn't have enough spaces for all of your guests. The room itself is also limited - There is... More

We came to Aspen for the Aspen Summer Music Festival, and this hotel was perfect for our purpose. It is downtown, across the street from a park, which is next door to the central bus station from which the free shuttle busses to many of the music venues depart. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast. The room had lots of... More

The Swedish décor made this family run hotel special and unique. The open air layout was a breath of fresh air - literally. The food and amenities were excellent! The breakfast included the best fresh squeezed orange juice, fruits and healthy items along with freshly made omelets and the works. All served in a home style/family environment. The staff went... This is truly our home away from home in Aspen. We stay here every other year for our vacation week in Aspen in the summer. We Love this place and the people that take such great care of this property. You park your car in their parking garage and you don't need it again until that sad time when you... More

We originally planned on staying one night - but ended up staying 3, as we liked this place so much. The staff was the friendliest I've ever met at a hotel, they were helpful when we wanted to stay more nights - helped us get a different room, the housekeeping staff moved all of our stuff to the new room... We stayed here for just one night and found the location was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the full breakfast and breakfast buffet. The hotel is not super modern but it fits the Alpine motif. All in all, great value for the cost.
