Oh my...it is time for a renovation. This hotel has an amazing reputation but let's just say that it is time to stop resting on one's laurels. It is TIRED. Stayed at the Little Nell two years running both early January and enjoyed fantastic service both times. The Montagna, their signature restaurant is excellent; the hotels wine list is supremely impressive and well priced. The main lounge gets a little busy at apres ski time so if you want a table get there early. I think they should hold back... more

My husband, his family and I stayed at the Little Nell for 5 nights in Jan. I am not really a fan of cold weather, so the place was wonderful for a few days of hibernation. Aspen is such a quaint little village anyway and the 7 plus feet of snow (piled up) made it into a story book village.... more

PROS: 1. Excellent service. The staff doesn't know how to say no. 2. Ski valet 30 feet from Ajax gondola holds your skis and buys your lift tickets. They waxed my skis overnight without me asking.
