Our stay at the Durant hotel started with a great welcome from Brian Schaefer, who provided helpful information about the Aspen area. We had received information from friends about different restaurants that they recommended. Brian produced menus and circled the locations of the restaurants on a map. We asked him where he dines and he recommended a few of the... more

The Hotel Durant offers friendly, comfortable B&B style lodging, tucked away in a peaceful safe setting in the heart of Aspen. There is free parking right at the door, which is nice to have in Aspen, yet a car really is not necessary as the Aspen gondola and the free skiier shuttles are an easy walk in ski boots, and... more

From the moment I stepped through the door and met Rhonda in the reception and Brian, the General Manager, I knew I had picked the right place to stay in Aspen. Both of them are awesome and extremely friendly and can tell you about everything there is to see and do in Aspen. Hotel Durant is a small boutique hotel... more

We spent three days there last week, on our second visit in just as many years. Easy on the budget, perfect location as everything in Aspen is no more than 3-4 blocks away at the most. This time we had a balcony room facing the mountain with great views, yet quiet. Quality linens and bathrobes, now they even have free... more

Charming European style small hotel in great location close to lifts and pedestrian area. Lobby is cozy with fireplace, couches, breakfast as well as wine and cheese after skiing which we truly enjoyed in the camaraderie of new friends. We found the hotel Durant to represent a great value in this overall fairlly expensive destination. more

We arrived during a rain storm only to find there was no parking. The lot adjacent to the hotel was for condo owners only. We parked there briefly to unload luggage, and someone quickly told us to move or BE TOWED! Trying to explain that we were only trying to unload luggage since it was raining was no use. We... more

I was so disappointed with this property. Our room was so small that they had to take our luggage out to store. I put food in the frig and it froze. I took a shower and it turned hot and cold. There was drilling outside the door from 9-6 pm. The breakfast was awful with no fresh fruit and foglers... more

I organized my very first trip to Aspen for the 2007 Christmas/New Year holiday. I booked with Hotel Durant and was very satisfied with this choice. Obviously I attempted to first book with other "chic/popular" locations but they were all fully booked. I did some research on alternative locations (other than Sky, Nell, St Regis...etc) and I am very happy... more

We have stayed at the Hotel Durant for more than 10 years in a row for ski season. It has a great location. very friendly staff, delicious apres ski with wine, cheeses, and cookies. Rhonda, Cynthia, Ruth and Brian will make your stay as comfortable as your second home. The rooms are on the small side but we are not... more
