Truly unique - each room has it's own flavor and setting. Incredible location - as everything is a 5 minute walk. Terry, the host, is very warm and helps you get settled and give any advice you may need Highly recommend The Residence Hotel.

If you're tired of the cookie-cutter chain hotels, this is the place for you. This gorgeous little hotel in a historical 120+ year old building was home for us while on a recent visit to Aspen and I cannot praise it enough. Every suite (yes, each room is a complete suite, most of which include well-appointed kitchens) has its own... More

My experience was great. I stayed in the two bedroom apartment called the English Victorian. It's so beautiful with a lovely kitchen which made it really easy to cook for an extended stay. I also loved the location two blocks from the supermarket, theater, and ski lifts; around the corner from the outdoor terraces, all make this a perfect location... More

Excellent location right in the heart of Aspen, rooms are spacious and beautiful with antiques from all over the world truly one of a kind. My favourite room in the hotel was the explorers retreat room with its large comfortable bed with silk down covers and Ralph Lauren sheets. A stunning room that makes you feel like royalty. Absolutely love... More

I'm so thankful to have booked at this hotel. Main reason the beautiful rooms are just spectacular. I'll post some of the pictures I took. When I arrived I had broken my leg and I was thrilled that they had wheel chair access, it made it so easy to get up and down. Terry Butler the owner of this establishment... More

This is by far the best kept secret in Aspen! The most incredible boutique hotel right in the heat of downtown. The rooms are VERY large, all with their own kitchen, perfect for those who want to cook/eat breakfast in (rooms have coffee makers, too). I have stayed in The Residence twice now in two different rooms, one more of... More

The hotel I was originally booked increased my price when I was checking in, and was even rude : (. Therefore, not a pleasant experience, so needless to say, I was desperate for lodging at the very last minute. Someone told me about Terry Butler, at The Residence Hotel, and called her immediately. She gave me her very last suite... More

This is the place for those looking for a unique experience in the heart of downtown Aspen. Even if you don't have the opportunity to stay here on your next trip I recommend contacting Terry Butler (the owner) for a tour of any of the rooms that happen to be vacant. The furnishings have been collected by her over the... More

What a thrill this morning to open my eyes and have Aspen Mountain coming to life as the sun lit the peaks. The view from any room is an experience. I especially love looking over all of the excitement on the mall below. You feel so part of Aspen as The Residence Hotel is in the heart of town. I... More

What a joy and a pleasure it was to spend a week in the heart of Aspen at Terry Butler's wonderful all suite hotel. Each of the eight suites has a theme - we had the Victorian - and all are packed with pieces that Terry has collected on her travels around the world. The result is a hotel like... More
