The St. Moritz is on a quiet street that backs on the mountain in Aspen. Town and the music festival both within walking distance. The rooms are pretty standard motel rooms but very clean and include a tiny kitchen so you can actually make simple meals in your room - a real cost saver in Aspen, where mediocre food can... more

I choose this place because this was the cheapest hotel I could find in Aspen. I was in Aspen to find a job over the winter season so need a place to live that would not break the bank because the AUD exchange rate fell from 0.95 to 0.62 against the USD in October and I had also taken the... more

As the budget destination in Aspen, the Moritz is geared more for a younger, sometimes rowdier, always casual crowd, which more curmudgeonly older folks may find a challenge to enjoy fully. The lobby is well used, although the addition of TV's in many of the rooms has reduced the more social atmosphere from previous years. The outdoor pool with jacuzzi... more

We were told the Moritz was great and we so wanted to visit Aspen! We were there for the Holidays and arrived early by mistake! We were welcomed and given great accomodations nonetheless. The place is warm and feels like home. The staff is incredibly helpful and everyone has a nice comment or a helpful tip on things to do... more

Walking into the lobby, you realize that this is a special place. After a day on the slopes, guests enjoy each other's company in front of the fire. The staff is friendly and attentive. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. more

Overall, I thought this was a decent place to stay, especially at the low price I paid. Just after the Winter X-Games, it was easy to get discounted rooms in Aspen. I paid just over $100 and had a decent, clean room with all of the necessary amenities. Nothing fancy, but definitely above average. My intial negative impression of one... more

The St. Moritz Lodge & Condominiums needs to be torn down and a new property put in its place. This "Lodge" bills itself as Aspen's least expensive place to stay. I would say least expensive and worst. It is of 1950's construction re-modeled during the early 1970'sand never upgraded since. It is obvious that its owners (whoever they are) are... more

I stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed my stay. This is one of the best bargains you will find in Colorado.I stayed in the hostel portion of the lodge. They have great showers and it's a really clean place, with some of the nicest, warmest people I have met. I just wish everything was this affordable in Aspen. more

I was very pleasantly surprised by St Moritz. My room was excellent (clean, modern, well appointed with LCD TV etc), friendly staff and good location. And very well priced (but it is the off season I guess). Nice pool too. And it snowed today!! Very exciting for an Australian from the tropics. Aspen (including the stay here) will be one... more

My son and I stayed at the St. Moritz Oct. 14-17. It is a clean hotel. Nothing fancy but worth the stay in the off season. There is no breakfast in the off season but we found the "Main St. Bakery" it is GREAT!! Have breakfast there if you go to Aspen, you won't be disapointed!! Boogie's has the best shakes. Not... more
