If I visit Crested Butte or Gunnison, I always stay at 3 Rivers Resort. It is quaint and affordable, and situated in between the two towns (although a little closer to Gunnison). You can upgrade to a cabin with newer amenities and a hot tub, or you can stay very inexpensively in a small studio cabin. I love that I... More

Price was right, room was cozy. Microwave in the unit, coffee maker had no coffee but that's okay. Perfect location for the avid fly fisherman. I will be back October!!!! Only 30 minutes from the Taylor River Dam and easy access to the Gunnison river.

I'm glad you had a good stay and we'll look forward to seeing you again in October. Regarding the coffee, all of our cabins/rooms and homes are "housekeeping" units meaning the guest takes care of it so while we supply linens and towels, we do not supply anything consumable, such as coffee. There is no daily maid service but we're... More

The room over lodge was cleanan and spacious. We enjoyed being close to our son during our visit. The were really Nice people at the front desk, when we checked in. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and weather.

Thanks for your review. I'm glad you had a great stay. Maybe next time you could try a cabin with no stairs! We hope to see you back soon. More

My husband and I stayed in cabin 21 - the royal humpy. We were able to check in a little early, which was really nice because we wanted to start fishing the Taylor asap. We never fished the water right outside the cabin. We fished the catch and release section of the Taylor, which was about 20 miles down the... More

Thank you for your response and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. I thought those kitchens had regular trash cans but I know the space is tight. I will check into that. Thanks for the feedback on the noises too. We will try to get to the bottom of that. Yes, unfortunately, the wifi here is very limited. It's... More

It was at the end of the season. The staff was adequate. The room was old but clean. Everything closed at 6 pm. We had room A in the lodge and there was a compressor noise outside our room that kept my wife up. It may have been the cooler in the building below. They do not clean the room... More

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to improve and value our guests' remarks. I had never heard a complaint about a noise in that room but I will certainly look into what that might have been. As for daily maid service, all of our units (cabins, homes and rooms) are "housekeeping" units, meaning there is not a daily cleaning... More

We have stayed at Three Rivers Resort in Almont many times in past years and absolutely love it. The staff is friendly and professional and cabins are nice, clean, and well appointed. This year we opted for one of the smaller modular "Deluxe Mountain Chalet on the River" units. All in all it worked out great for the two of... More

Thank you so much for your great feedback. We appreciate it. The park model "chalets" are great little cabins but not for everyone as they are a tighter fit than traditional cabins. I'm glad that you found it to be comfortable. The setting is absolutely beautiful on the river. We hope to see you again soon. More

Great place on the river. Full resort with decent restaurant, nice outside patio and full bar. The upper cabins are manufactured housing (ie trailers) but are clean and new. The lower cabins are older but are next to the river. They only run the Taylor on the rafts. They rate it class 3 but Im told its closer to class... More

Thank you for your feedback on your stay and the outfitting trips. It looks like you may have stayed later in the summer after the water flows had dropped. The best time for higher level whitewater is right after the run-off in June and even July. Of course it all depends on the snow levels. The Lower Taylor is meant... More

Spent the Labor Day Weekend there. My wife and I were looking for a central location for a visit around Crested Butte, Gunnison and Telluride. 3 Rivers was centrally located and offered a variety of cabin types for lodging. The cabin we stayed in was OK but a bit dated. The rocker and couch/futon were uncomfortable with the rocker being... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I would love to know what cabin you stayed in. It's true that we have a variety of lodging styles and quality among our 63 units! Some have older furnishings and are more basic while others are upscale and more residential. Everyone has a different idea of what a mountain... More

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed here just for one night, but it was great experience! I had not looked on Tripadvisor prior to staying here, simply because it was a last minute decision to get a hotel room in this area, and the price was right. Honestly, after my reservation experience on the phone with Gabby... More

Great place..was pleasantly surprised. We were in Cabin 57 (purple haze), and it was right on the water...I mean 10 feet from the rapids (awesome sleeping). The cabins are small, with very little room in the loft area but it was fine for the kids. They have a restaurant with a small bar right on site, and an Orvis Fly... More

Thank you for leaving your good comments here. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and the cabin on the Taylor River. We are actually located at the confluence of the East River and the Taylor River which form the Gunnison River. I hope you caught a lot of fish in our private pools! More
