I felt so welcome and appreciated at this hotel. I find this in small towns like Alamosa, but this was really an exception. I will definitely stay here again so I can feel so comfortable and welcome. more

As another reviewer stated I would camp in a tent before I return. I sent two letters to management looking for some closure on our complaint with the weekend management and no one ever bothered to respond. Don't stay here! more

Stayed here two nights. Called ahead to be sure they had good airconditioning because I have a medical condition that causes extreme difficulties if I get over- heated. They assured me that good AC was no problem. Well our air didnt work at all, so 2nd day we had to pack up and move to another room. I asked for... more

Stayed her for one night only as part of a tour, stayed in room 214. This room is an internal room and looks out onto the indoor pool/games area, so no natural light. The room faces others of the same style opposite so there was a need to keep curtains closed permanently which made the room dark as there was... more

I should have stayed at a Best Western or the likes, but someone--for some reason--steered me to this place. The room smelled odd when i entered it, the bed was uncomfortable, the furnishings very outdated, and the heater went on and off all night, very loudly. The last aspect almost caused me to leave--all i wanted was a quiet, comfortable... more

We brought 4 rooms to this place , 8 people and expected to use the advertised free breakfast.. Found out it was not free on weekends. We were given free coupons for up to $5.98 which was ok, but they were taken away from us because it was a weekend and they were issued by mistake when we checked in.... more

The hotel is a great place for a family with young children. The water park area is just a pool with a very slow slide, but the kids loved it. After a few times on the slide, they went to the other indoor pool to finish swimming. The restaurant, Clancy's, fantastic. The meals were excellent. They gave us a 20%... more

Wish I could give all zeros! This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It advertises itself as 3diamond rated by AAA. Upon return home, I was so angry I contacted AAA. According to my information from AAA they are NOT rated at all by AAA. They are lying. The waterpark was below average and we couldn't... more

The Inn of the Rio Grande is a whimsical hotel that makes for a memorable stopover and does all the basics - quiet, clean, good food, pet-friendly - very well. We decided on the spur of the moment to visit the Great Sand Dunes with our ten year old son and eighteen year old nephew. The only hotel I could... more

We stayed there for our trip to the Great Sand Dunes over Memorial Day weekend. My son (8) was excited for the water park. However, he was trampled over in the water by a large gentleman coming down the slide right after him and that sort of squeleched his enthusiasm. The water is very salty (just an observation). There is... more
