Wi-Fi has a weak signal. Ice machine doesn't work. No toilet paper in the room. Back door was always help opened by the supplied stopper. Front desk was helpful but did not have the back up to solve the problems.

We stayed at the Rodeway Inn for a wedding and we were not happy. The air conditioning didn't work, I don't know how a hotel can be open with out air conditioning. They should have at least provided a fan in the rooms. The rooms were not clean,(especially the bathroom) the swimming pool was dirty. And the Wi-Fi didn't work........ More

The lack of owner interest is apparent in all aspects of the hotel. There was a party out front until 3 am. Due to the type crowd I believe anyone was afraid to say anything. A staff member finally did and stated he was almost assaulted when he told the crowd he was going to call the sheriff. The owner... More

I see a lot of people being very critical of this hotel. They should have stayed here a few years ago. The new manager (I think his name is Lenny) was very helpful and I saw the staff working very hard to make peoples stay enjoyable. The restaurant was good and the front desk was more than helpful. So to... More

The Roadway Inn, going through an extensive 1-year upgrade, was the former Inn of the Rio Grande. I really wanted a comfortable hot tub after a long trip, voiding the next door competition. The staff tried to work with what they had -- or I with what wasn't. The room was hot, no AC available. No working telephone, no alarm... More

We stayed one night. Room was very clean and comfortable. Big plus. Hotel has weird layout. Forget about any view. Staff - ok but I would expect to be more professional. Big plus is the pool with a huge slide. Kids love it. Me not so much - needs renovation, cleaning !!! and staff that could do their job instead... More

Staff not trained and unprofessional. Twice waited for service in the restaurant only to finally enter the kitchen where a group was socialing. Bar service very poor. Bartender outside many times with her boyfriend smoking. I would not stay there until there is major improvement. Remodeling is in progress and rather disruptive. I give it 1 star especially with other... More

We had car trouble and had to stay 2 nights in Alamosa. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and my kids had the time of their lives in the mini water park/pool. We also enjoyed playing ping pong and eating in the Country Kitchen. They seem to be in the midst of remodeling (rolls of carpet were in... More

Going skiing at Wolf Creek ski resort, tired driving and saw this Rodeway Inn. First impression of peeling paint, Stacks of New carpet in the lobby and little heat in common area. Boiler out. Not a good first impression, but the staff ,room and the Heated pool, plus great Country Kitchen made up for the rundown appearence of this Hotel..... More

I have stayed at the Rodeway Inn (formerly the historic Inn of the Rio Grand) several times during trips to the San Luis Valley. It has been battered by bad reviews from time to time, so I wanted to get my two cents in. It's a super spacious hotel. They have an attached indoor water park that is free to... More
