Mauve, so much mauve. Dirty and dated. Only stayed there because my daughter loves to swim. Water in the pool was cloudy and slightly green. Water in the kiddie pool was freezing Could not wait to leave.

After reviewing all the bad reviews I e-mailed the hotel (Roadway headquarters) explaining I was part of a senior tour group that will be staying at the hotel and was VERY CONCERNED with the reviews. I asked that at least the room be clean with working air conditioning which is what I got. However, I received a form letter e-mail... More

We went down to the Early Iron Car Show and had booked 2 rooms for a confirmed price at the end of the 2013 car show. When we got there, we found out this motel was no longer the Early Iron headquarters and the management wouldn't honor our reservation price and charged us $60.00 more per room. The place smells,... We stayed here 8/29/14-8/31/14 for the Early Iron Car Show. We have been staying at this hotel for many years and was always treated well until this year. When we checked in we found that our rooms were not clean, bedding was still on the beds, trash was everywhere it had looked like the housekeeping had started cleaning the room... More

We stayed here after visiting the National Sand Dunes. I booked because of the indoor water park. We arrived and the front desk gal was very nice but the hotel is very dark and our reservation included free access to the indoor water park and 50% off at breakfast at the hotel. She mentioned since there were new owners they... More

Stayed here for a family reunion (approx. 50 people in our group). Ownership changed between when my grandparents planned the reunion and our actual dates, and new owners were reluctant to deliver on promises that had already been negotiated. That should have been our first sign. Everything about the hotel is run down and dated. I can't even imagine a... More

We stayed at this hotel June 19-22, 2014and were very disappointed in the hotel. Apparently the air conditioning in many of the rooms was not functioning properly our room was over 80 degrees at night. Our daughter was also staying there, her room was 80 + degrees as well. We had outlets and lights that did not work which I... More

Alamosa is not really a destination town, but a gateway to other places in Colorado—a staging stop, a real "rest stop" before heading on. It is definitely the gateway to the Great Sand Dunes and real Rocky Mountain stuff you want to see. It's also a bit of a down-at-the-heels town with a lot of motels and cheap hotels, and... More

There are no elevators to the 2nd floor, so if you have a heavy bag be prepared to lug it up a flight of stairs. The first room they gave my family had not been cleaned. The bathroom had the previous occupant's garbage left in it and the tub was dirty. They moved us to another room and it was... More
