I should've known the way the reception looked like! I had to change the first room simply because it was filthy. Old sheets in both beds and the towels were used hanging in the hooks. The second wasn't any better but since it was so late I stayed...the first night ever I slept in a motel with my clothes on... More

This place is 'newly renovated' The renovations were half assed and pretty hilarious, they left the linoleum on one wall and painted the other, in the bath, They retiled the tub, but forgot to replace the fixtures which were leaking fairly heavily, They may have also left the old tub surround in place and tiled over it, I couldn't really... The Grizzly Inn is just your basic, Mom-and-Pop type of motel. It is quite expensive for what it is, BUT...this town is full of places that cost more than they should. Most people who stay here are going to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, and there are limited choices in the area. Hence, the high prices. I will say... More

I'm currently getting ready to check out of this motel, and am very disappointed to have just spent seventy of my own dollars to begrudgingly lay my head here for the night. Let me try to give all of the negatives of this room a spot on this list: -The pillows are scarce, both in number and size. There's only... More

I enjoyed staying at this motel with my family. It is pet friendly and also have nice and comfortable beds. The front desk clerks are also on top of thier stuff asking if you want anything to make ur stay enjoyable. Good prices and nice rooms . To top it all off they had a nice breakfast in the morning.... Without a doubt the worst room I have ever stayed at. The room was dirty (there was dirt along the baseboards in the bathroom) and smelled of old smoke. When I wiped down the table to place our carry out order on it the paper towel was black, the shower tiles and grout appear to have never been cleaned and... More

This older property was very clean and had all the basics for a good night stay. The clerk was extremely helpful when we checked in. They had many amenities, such as room coffee, hairdryer fridge and microwave. There was also computer access. The only negative is no outdoor sitting area.

Room was dark, microwave didn't work. Left for the day came back to bed not made, no clean towells, trash not emptied. I was moved to a bigger room which was fine. The new room was bigger, cleaner everything worked for no extra charge. I would say its been just ok.

Older property, bathroom window caulking was moldy (bleach people!) Night clerk was friendly and helpful. Morning clerk (owner?) was surly, sullen and when we asked about the full breakfast advertised for summer and fall, we were told we were mistaken, "All I do is continental"( It was sad even for that) So glad we only booked one night. It was... More
