Starting off with arrival where we were able to drive directly to parking underground and then unload our stuff and go upstairs one level to be directly in front of the greeter/registrar. Then walking into our room - stone tile floor - flat screen TV - BOSE radio-jacuzzi tub in corner - basket of complimentary - free snack stuff with... more

If you ever have an opportunity to check into this hotel oasis, you should check it out. We were here for two nights and it was wonderful to check into a place that felt warm and inviting...the October weather helped too. They always had lemonade and cookies available to munch on as well as the sound of fountains in the... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Avila La Fonda and would recommend it to our friends and family. They had a very nice happy hour with refreshments and the rooms were very nice. They are also very close to the beach and shops and resturants. Avila beach is a great place to relax and Avila La Fonda is a nice... more

We loved being at this place. A beautiful little jewel. It has the look of some larger, grander places,,but is small enough to feel cozy and get personalized service. The kitchen lobby always had something for guests. Selection of teas and a bowl of assorted fruit at all times. Guest reception from 5-630 in the evenings. (wine, cheese, crakers, salsa,... more

This hotel is way to expensive for what you get. The rooms are nice but the hotel lacks service of any kind, any perks, no food (other than snacks) on site, and NO view. The hotel itself is VERY small. No work out room, no pool, and most importantly no views. If you want to stay in your room and... more

First of all, I have to say that the review from Sept 17th from the user in the Bay Area is not at all accurate. I think they were staying somewhere else and got it confused. This was a fantastic hotel and everyone was very nice and welcoming. The first thing I noticed was how good the hotel smelled; there... more

We were just passing thru from Arizona on our way to Carmel and Monterey and it turned out to be an awsome stop. At the end of our trip we had wished we stayed the whole time there. If you are looking for a busy, crowded, lot's of restaurants and bars, lot's of action, go to a SoCal beach. If... more

One of the reason for us to choose this hotel for our family vocation was that it's ranked number one on TripAdcisor website. Majority people wrote how nice this hotel is......but we have totoally different experiences. On the date we arrived, there was no one in the labby . We started to looking for the staff, finally I found one... more
