I stayed here last night with my husband and we liked it.The inside of the room looks brand new. I reserved on booking.com and THEN read the reviews on here, so I made sure I requested a renovated room. It was 103 dollars, I probably wouldn't pay more than that. The restaurant opens a bit late at 8am, so we... More

We just returned from a one-night stay at the Catalina Canyon Resort. I took my husband for his birthday as he had never been to Catalina. We really enjoyed ourselves. I will say that I bought a Groupon so our room was like only $139 and worth every penny. When we arrived on the island, we were greeted by the... More

This hotel is very old and does not look like the pictures. Our room smelled of mold and I came home with bed bug bites on our faces and arms. The service was also lacking and bag service included an open door with everyone's luggage there. I could easily walk in and just take what I wanted. Also, the transportation from... More

Prior to arriving, it was difficult to reach the hotel as they don't often answer their phone or you get put on hold for over 5 minutes. When they finally answered, the man was rude, terse and barely answered our questions. The hotel notes indicate it's possible to have a rollaway bed brought into the room. Upon arrival, however, we... More

We were here a couple of years ago and it didn't seem as bad as this time. Staff seems overworked, robotic - ally did duties. Trapped in bathroom in room because door would not open. Room smelled like mildew or worse. Carpets lumpy and awful, blinds broken. No do not disturb signs available (the were out we were told) so... More

We just returned from a one-night stay at the Catalina Canyon Resort on Catalina Island. This room was part of a Wyndham package for attending a timeshare tour. When we arrived on the island, we were greeted by the hotel van. He drove us up to the hotel, which is a steep two-block road behind the golf course. We were... More

Very happy with recent 3 night stay in a renovated room. Made a big difference over previous stays for many reasons, but especially glad there was a microwave and mini fridge, which was very convenient! Had breakfast on balcony with coffee from their new Keurigs. Hint: bring extra flavors if you want them or tea. Decaf was all that was... More

When we arrived at the hotel, they'd lost our reservations. We asked to use their computer to see if we could find our confirmation, and the woman behind the desk said "Sorry, we only have one computer. You have a phone, don't you?" We spend the next 90 minutes on the phone trying to sort out their mistake whilst they... More

Worst hotel stay ever. The rooms were dirty, old, and overpriced. The carpets were stained, the sheets were stained, and the walls needed painting. Friends that went with us even had their toilet back up in their room next to us.

We spent 2 nights at the hotel in September 2014, during the week. The best part was we used a Groupon that significantly reduced the room rate. The hotel is pretty far from the beach and town area, but they have a shuttle van that will take you to and from a downtown spot or the boat terminal, which is... More
