We have enjoyed Mt. Ada as a couple, as a family, with a group of friends, and for special occasions through out 25 years. Going back so much says it all: a comfortable place to decompress from work as well as a great place to celebrate (weddings, anniversaries, birthdays). The accomodations and the staff make us feel at home. Each... more

My wife and I have stayed at the Inn on Mt. Ada each year since 1986 when we had the privilege of being married at the Inn. Each year we spend two or three day at the Inn for our anniversary, on occasion we will make other trips as well just to unwind. We know the Inn, we know the... more

We were fortunate to stay at the Inn on Mt. Ada the weekend of June 13, 2009. It truly was an amazing experience that we will never forget. We felt that we were invited guests in a warm home with life long friends from the moment Michael picked us up at the docks in Catalina. The staff took so much... more

This is not your average hotel experience, and if you are just looking for a room for the night, this is not the place. However, if you would like a unique experience, staying in a heritage home with only 6 rooms in total and free run of the very large house, your are in for a treat. Meals, lunch and... more

i did not stay at this B and B overnight. i simply came here for lunch. here is an honest review: the actual grounds and the location and hotel itself is phenomenal. the views are breathtaking. thats the good. here's the bad: the food is incredibly bland and generic. you would think that such a beautiful place would take the... more

We recently returned from a trip to Catalina for our wedding anniversary and stayed at the Inn on Mt. Ada for a few days. First the good... - Beautiful location. The views are to die for. It feels like you are a world away from everyday life. - Use of your own golf cart. That was so fun! - Shuttle... more

The Inn at Mt Ada is one of the most unique (and expensive) places we have ever stayed at, but forget the money - this is one of those places that you will remember and talk about the rest of your life. The Inn was actually built by the Wrigley family in the early 1920's. It has six rooms total... more

Everything else you read in these reviews is correct, so no sense in repeating it. One nice thing is they have brand new golf carts. The golf cart is one thing that should not be overlooked. You really need it. Even though Avalon is small, the location of the Inn makes for quite a walk to get into town or... more

From the welcome at the boat to the hug goodbye it was wonderful. To say the Inn is beautiful is an understatement, but the real beauty is in the way the staff is actually anxious to serve you! We went hiking while we were there and since we would miss the lunch that is included they packed us sandwhiches, chips,... more

For 10 years now our group has been taking over the entire Inn for a weekend in the Fall. Naturally, we all think that this is the single best place ever to spend time with a close group of family and friends. The accomodations are impeccable. Nearly everyone thinks that the Windsor (room 3) is the best room because of... more
