We arrived and felt like we were being launched back to the roaring 20's with this vintage furniture, warm, welcoming staff, and breathtaking views. The food was fabulous, but the overall ability to curl up on a couch under a picture window, or make a late night ice cream sunday gave this hotel a special "homey" feel unlike anyplace we've... Hard to beat Mt Ada for special occasions. The view and location are superb. Treat yourself life is short. This inn will add to your list of great memories. This is our first time visiting since the Santa Catalina company took over. Not too much has changed since the previous innkeepers left. They are trying to keep some of the... More

We have stayed twice at this iconic bed & breakfast former home of William Wrigley & his wife, Ada. The first time, we stayed in Mr. Wrigley's bedroom (the most expensive of the 6 rooms), and this time, we stayed in the smallest & least expensive room (#6). What an amazing experience to stay in this stunning home with breathtaking... More

We could only afford one night in the grand suite but it was worth it. The service was fabulous and it really is like being a guest in Mr. Wrigley's home. From the heliport-to-door service, to breakfast and lunch on the terrace. to the #1 golf cart (I think each room has one, but check to make sure I'm correct... More

The Inn on Mt Ada took my breath away!! The historical integrity of the bed and breakfast are drunk in visually as you go from the public rooms to your sleeping room. When I closed my eyes i could see Royalty and Presidents sitting on the large balcony! This Inn must be on everyone's "bucket list" as it is unique... More

The Inn on Mt. Ada has been amazing and special. The service was personable and wonderful--delicious breakfasts and lunches accompanied by most amazing views...happy hour at sunset with hot hor deurves ...suite was elegant, cozy, romantic and the porch had views of the mountains and harbor, and town. Butler pantry at night for late snacking, along with wine, beer, port,... More

The Inn on Mt Ada is a bed and Breakfast. William Wrigley Jr., owner of the Chicago Cubs, bought the Island in 1919 and built this home in Avalon for his wife Ada. He picked the top of a hill that had the very best view of his personal paradise. My husband and I were lucky enough to be married... More

We were lucky enough to visit the Inn on Mt. Ada on essentially the last full day of operation by the current inn keepers where we shared tears and past memories with everyone there. We have never been to a better property and never treated so much like family as we have at the Inn hosted by Marlene and Susie.... More

We stayed for the last time at the Inn on Mt. Ada after more than 14 years of visits. All we can say is that it was like a home away from home due to the incredible hospitality of Susan, Marlene, Erin, Michael and the entire staff. The operations are changing and the Inn will now be operated by the... More

Last week we spent four nights enjoying the inn that we have known for nineteen years. The familiar staff, Susie's "Welcome Home" and Lois' "Good Evening" were things we have been treated to every time we enter this beautiful inn. But, all good things must come to an end. If you have stayed in the past you have come to... More
