Four of us spent 2 nights in a tent cabin last week. Was very nice to not have to drag our own tents out to the island. Check in process was very easy & the rangers at the campground were kind and helpful during our entire stay. Tent cabin was well maintained. Yes, there were cobwebs etc, but it's camping,... More

This campground is well kept and clean. If you looking for alternative to paying the high price for hotels in Avalon this is a great area up in the hills. We stayed in tent cabin that was perfect for our needs. The people that run this campground should be put in prison for polices on providing electricity for people staying.... More

Party of five stayed in a tent cabin. Clean and level. Cots OK. The table not level but kids worked it out, playing cards. Issue: Ranger lax enforcing 10 pm quiet time. Hermit Gulch was a great alternative to the hotels on the island and actually was more pleasant then I expected. The sites were a little close for my liking but I was lucky enough to enjoy peaceful neighbors. The proximity to the Hermit Gulch trail that leads up to the Trans Catalina Trail was a great plus.
