This is a very nice hotel with ocean views in a few of the rooms, plus a fabulous rooftop deck. They have Tempurpedic beds; I would have given a 5, but I am not a fan of these beds, but if you are, you will surely enjoy sleeping here. The rooms are a little small, but since you don't spend... More

We stayed here in room 313 for a couple of nights. The welcome was good and the staff great. The room was small, but had a lovely balcony with a super view. The bathroom, however, was minute! If you are a larger person, you might struggle. It's just a shower room with a tiny sink and a toilet. Nowhere to... More

We just stayed at the Aurora for 3 nights and we loved it. Our room was a partial bay view, #211. The room is very small but the way the room is designed is perfect for the size. We loved the location, it is a pretty steep hill to walk up to get to it, but we were happy that... More

Surprised my husband with a trip to Catalina for his birthday Feb 2014. Diana was great, she helped me with everything and it was perfect!! From the boat tickets, cab transfers, champagne in our room, to our couples massage!!! Thank you !! This is a quaint little hotel, European style, VERY friendly staff, our room was really nice #311. We had a great time at the Aurora. Their staff, especially Richard, went out of their way to assist us. The corner room we had does have a good view of the Bay and the rooftop patio area gives you a view of the entire area.

From the time we booked it with Diana - class act. 1) Customer Service is great - nice touch - we got to select a bottle of wine from a myriad of choices - Diana brought it to our room chilled. 2) Room 213 - top / corner with view of the bay - if you can land it -... More

Catalina Island's Avalon is a very small place, super European in size. 80% of the vehicles are some sort of golf cart and the streets are tiny, and mostly steep. Also, we came in the off-season, which I highly recommend. We should have called when we arrived, because we made the long journey (.7 miles) to the tiny side door... More

I made a reservation after reviewing the reviews on Trip Advisor. I attended the jazz festival. The Aurora sits on a hill so you will get a good work out. Richard and Ramiro were Very Helpful. The room was small, modern and clean. the only thing that was missing was a tub. The room had everything you could need. There... More

This is the best hotel for price in all of avalon. The staff are friendlier than most hotels anywhere. The rooms are small but perfect size for a couple or a single traveller. Continental breakfast was above and beyond most at any other hotel and the true gem of this hotel is the rooftop patio which overlooks the city/bay. This... More
