Went to Catalina for a couple days over my birthday. My husband took care of the arrangements,, so I am not absolutley certain what he paid. We checked in around noon and as expected our room was not ready so the desk staff glady checked our bags and we went off to lunch. Toward the end of our meal we... More

Stayed here for a weekend in August, and expected a bit more for $329/night. I was in a standard room with a partial ocean view. The room was tiny, the carpet stained, mold was growing on the bottom of the drapes, and the bathroom is uncomfortably small. Overall the staff was extremely friendly, the roof deck is a fantastic amenity,... More

The Aurora was a great hotel. It is located a block from the Main Street, but it is up quite a steep grade. It's not to bad, but when you're already tired, it can seem like it's a long way. They do have a nice wine and cheese on Friday night for guests. The people were very friendly.

My wife, 2 girls and our in-laws spent a couple of days here before the 4th of July holiday and had a really great stay. I found the hotel on Trip Advisor (as always) and definitely wasn't let down. In fact, it was even better than expected. The staff were friendly from the very first phone call to make the... More

I never write reviews but just had to for this hotel. My husband and I booked a weekend stay for our 2nd anniversary. Upon our late arrival we were kindly greeted by the staff. They gave us directions to a nearby restaurant and called ahead for us to make sure they reserved a table. Even the maids were friendly and... More

We just stayed 3 nights. This is a boutique hotel of the type so common in Europe. Smaller rooms but very well designed in an effort to mazimize the use of space. It was recently remodeled with a contemporary decor. Great memory foam bed. We had third floor, harbor side with an unobstructed view of the harbor and the sunrise.... More

Stayed there over this Memorial Day Weekend. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. Rooms are on the small side but were modern and the beds were awesome! Very comfortable. We would stay at this hotel again.

Great anniversary stay! The hotel is very clean and the service is 1st Class. We enjoyed the Friday evening wine & cheese plus the morning breakfast. Only a block from the beach and perfect location. The rooftop deck has a wonderful view and is a great place to re-charge after enjoying the day in Avalon. Easy walk (with luggage) from... More

Short version: The stay was amazing and we will definitely visit the same place over and over again ! One of the best hotels ever visited. Long version: Me and my wife visited Catalina Island and chose to stay at the Aurora Hotel. Due to our short visit, we stayed there for 2 days & 1 night. While we reached... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel about a week ago and fell in love with it. The location is great and so is the view from the rooftop terrace. The rooms were cute and modern. We had a "room with no view" but there was still a view of the hills and condos behind the hotel. The Saturday... More
