Hotel St. Lauren has a wonderful view of Avalon and to the endless ocean from their rooftop deck. It is a great place to enjoy drinks on the comfortable patio furniture, under the umbrellas. There is also a smaller deck off the second floor. The hotel is located upon a hill, and is about 200 from the beach/downtown. There were some... More

We have stayed in a few different hotels on the island; all seem to fall short of ideal in one way or another. Hotel St. Lauren is no exception but worked very well for us and we will keep it on our list for future visits. The staff was excellent. Check in and check out was easy as pie. Our... More

WE just returned from Avalon, Catalina and this was the second time we stayed at Hotel St. Lauren on Avalon. It's such a quaint little Hotel that was clean and comfy just like last time. The only drawback for my kids was that wifi internet was not available in the rooms, only in the lobby. For me it was a... More

We loved our stay at the Hotel St. Lauren! Highlights:The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice storage area for your bags if you arrive early. There is a rooftop terrace open to all guests with a great view of the town and bay. It's a great place to hang out and talk, read, or sit in... More

My son and I are both divers and were looking for a nice, reasonably priced hotel on Catalina. We have stayed at the St. Lauren before and were very pleased with both the room and the service. The storage area below the stairs allowed us to stash our dive gear. Room was large (2 double beds) and comfortable. We will... More

When I checked out, I noticed they had overcharged my Credit Card. The gal at the front desk said my card would be credited the error the following day. This has not happened. That's my only complaint.

This hotel has a great location. Not too close to downtown so you don't get a lot of noise and not too far away. You can easily walk into downtown. The lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The hotel was built in 1989 and hasn't been updated since. The room was small and the shower didn't... More

I've stayed at the St. Lauren before, and the staff have been incredibly helpful, so I made reservations for the Flying Fish Festival, which is delightful. Trip arrangements were exactly what I wanted and worked perfectly. My room was ready when I arrived and was impeccably clean, it's a little small. There is no refrigerator in the room, but the... As you walk up to this place, its clearly Victorian and Hotel St. Lauren appears to have plenty of charm. Once you get through the doors however that charm begins to fade. The lobby does have an ornate ceiling but a dingy corridor with dirty drop ceiling tiles brought my expectations down considerably and entering the room confirmed that disappointment... More

This is a great hotel, a nice place to stay. They do not have wi fi in the rooms and the service goes in and out on the cell phones. The road to the place is under construction so you have to walk in the street and the last two blocks are pretty steep. They do not have a shuttle... More
