Nice old hotel. Room was clean and comfy. Avoid room 101 by the lobby. Noisy with foot traffic and people walking by can see in if blinds not drawn. Room too bright. Glad I brought ear plugs and mask. Close to everything in town, including the dock. Complimentary coffee until 10:00. Upper floor balcony with lounge chairs.

Hotel St Lauren is situated on a hill overlooking Avalon. Rooms are clean and spacious. Sixth floor patio offers a beautiful panorama that can't be beat! Just finished a fine cup of coffee and now off to explore the city. Sure is quiet during the off season!

I had a wonderful weekend on Catalina Island and this pink gem on the hill played a big part in that. I love non traditional type hotels so the Hotel St. Lauren was my cup of tea. If you are looking for something fancy with a bunch of amenities and if walking to the first floor to get ice will... More

My husband and I arrived for a few days to visit before my dad arrived for his 80th birthday from where they live in Long Beach. We were thrilled with the hotel and the vintage pictures in the lobby and halls to reflect the history of Catalina. We had only been to Catalina a few other times on cruise ship... More

We came to Catalina for an overnight stay and this was the one hotel that had two rooms available. The hotel is older and the rooms small but clean. The offer coffee and tea in the morning complimentary- Lipton tea and mediocre warm coffee. Thank goodness we only stayed one night because all I heard all night was water running... More

Thank you for staying with us. At times you can hear the water running through the pipes and sorry it was bothersome to you. This was not brought to my attention, in the future let us know when it is happening and we will be happy to fix it. We hope you give us another try. More

Very good price and everything was just fine. The roof deck is huge and fantastic, but they keep it open for weirdly short hours. Our room was small but had everything and everything worked fine, very good location, and all that. Really good value in the otherwise expensive Avalon.

Thank you for taking time to give us your feedback on the hotel. We are glad you had a good experience. The balcony on 6th floor is located above a couple of rooms. If they are occupied the hours have to be from 9am to 8pm. We are constantly trying to better the hotel and that is something we are... More

This was the most expensive place I've stayed in four visits to Avalon / Catalina Island, and it offered the least in the way of amenities. No shuttle from the ferry, no breakfast, no in-room refrigerator OR microwave. POSITIVES: It was very clean and the modern lobby was attractive and inviting. Rooms were clean with a generous supply of towels.... More

Loved Catalina Island, and can't wait to get there again. Beautiful water, with lots of water activities. Good restaurants, beautiful location. Totally walkable town, the tour of the ballroom was very interesting. People were friendly. I liked Hotel St Lauren for location and the 6th floor deck overlooking the harbor. The hotel needs some updating, but was clean and the... More

This hotel is reasonably priced and I was on a solo casual biking vacation. I brought my bike over and rode it all over the island. This hotel is bike friendly, but let them know before you go. They don't have Wifi in rooms, but they have it in the lobby. By and large I was satisfied The hotel was... More

Spent one night on Catalina while visiting Los Angeles. The hotel is conveniently located near everything (beach, shops, restaurants, grocery store). Our longest walk was 2 blocks to/from the ferry. The view from the deck on the top floor is great. The rooms have high ceilings. We enjoyed the hotel, the staff were friendly, and if we get a chance... More
