We have stayed here on the way to Lake Tahoe twice now. Right off the highway, but surprisingly quiet. The rooms are super clean, with comfy pillows, sheets and covers. Outstandingly nice staff. And the breakfast, which comes free with your stay, includes make your own waffles, a make your own espresso drink machine, as well as pastries, bagels, cereal,... more

A well run motel on I 80.Well received. On a good sized site with flowers, fountains and grassed area with trees and tables. A good size heated pool available all year round and spa, ( a bubble covers all in winter ) Good continental breakfast great variety. The one downside is that it is very close to the interstate and... more

Our experience was great from the booking to the checkout. We checked in late in the evening and the clerk was kind and very helpful. The grounds were beautiful, with lots of greenery and a nice little park with benches. The pool was very clean. The rooms were spacious, clean and had every possible toiletry we could need. Our room... more

I'd read varying reviews on this property and was very skeptical, especially since I'm rather idiosyncratic about hotels. However, this motel was one of the few that was within close distance of my business meetings so I booked a room. From the outside, the place looked a bit rundown (although the garden area and pool seemed nice) so that was... more

The room I received was not the room I booked. I was suppose to be in a room with two beds and was put in one with just a king. Not good since I was there with my two kids. The noise from the hwy is terrible. It sounds as if you are sleeping right in the middle of the... more

This was a good stop over hotel on the way to Tahoe. The place was very clean. There is noise from the freeway, but the room fan can be used to drone it out or ask to stay near the back portion of the hotel away from the feeway. Staff was nice. Again- very clean and close to the feeway. more

This motel is a good value. The breakfast was above expectations for a motel. The rooms were clean. The staff friendly and helpful. I consider it a good value. The only negative is the A/C unit struggled slightly, so it ran more than normal, but this would not deter me from staying there again. more

We recently stayed 3 days at Auburn's Best Western Gold Key motel. The room was modern, clean and well appointed. The grounds were beautiful and in bloom. The pool was a big hit with all ages. The staff was welcoming. This being a much older hotel, the plumbing was slow but worked fine. The freeway noise was noticible but nothing... more

I loved the gorgeous flowers everywhere. I didn't love that the toilet backed up right after we arrived. However, we were immediately moved to another room and offered help with our luggage. I always appreciate the mini fridge, microwave, and coffee service in a room. The room and bath were clean. The bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows. The breakfast... more
