We visited The Power's Mansion Inn in November during the Thanksgiving weekend. I booked our room in advance because we were celebrating a special occasion and I wanted the best room. Our room was very large with the view of Auburn, on the second floor. Location is also great as we could walk everywhere. Many small stores and restaurants to... More

We really LOVED meeting Alfred and his Tapzilla :-) VERY smart and creative man!! His Beers are awesome, as is his general views on life. The B&B side of his incredible business(es) needs more of his wonderful attention-to-detail as it could be soooooo much more. A little upgrading, bit deeper cleaning and more fluff and luxury would make a wonderful... More

The Mansion has character with beautiful décor and ambience in the common areas. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The location is convenient to many shops and restaurants and not far from the main historic district. Our host, Alfred, provided an ample, delicious breakfast along with fascinating conversation. As other guests have mentioned, we truly felt like friends and would... More

Alfred was a delight to talk to. Very good host. This place could be very cute if he did some remodeling. I think it would have been O.K. if he would get some nice mattresses. I haven't slept on that hard of a mattress since I stayed at Motel six in the seventies. I couldn't wait to get home to... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the Mansion. It was very quiet and full of history. The owner Alfred was very friendly and made us feel like family. We only live 20 minutes away but it felt like a real vacation. Thank you Alfred. We will be back.

The Power's Mansion Inn is a blast from the past! It eeks of history, and we found it quaint and lovely. We have traveled a lot and know what is important to us. After reading the many reviews we decided we would try this place out and were very happy with our decision. The location is perfect for walking to... More

The rooms were dirty and cold. I wouldn't even consider using the bathtub! The beds were horrible and hard! We were there with 2 other couples who had an equally bad experience. I can't even imagine anyone enjoying the rooms!! The walls are so thin we could hear the people in the room below us all night long. One of... More

Hard Beds, low beds, needs MAJOR renovations, dirty, water stains all over the ceilings, black mold on the bottom of the shower curtains, unsafe furniture and they don't serve breakfast on site but in a nearby bar. If your used to quaint and romantic, DONT stay here. Having worked in construction, I questioned the true safety of its current state... More

We had a wonderful 3 day 2 night experience at the Inn. The breakfasts were incredible. The Inn itself is quite historic and the area around Auburn is amazing. We were quite taken by the old town, museums and shops. We will be returning soon. Mr. Lee was quite engaging and interesting to talk with. The history and charm of... More

I can't say enough good things about our stay here. Alfred, the owner, was such a gracious host. Upon check-in he led us to the Lighthouse room, one of many themed rooms in the mansion. Then it was off to the Power Club for a sampling of his many hand-crafted beers. Being a homebrewer myself, it was a joy to... More
