Steve and Cindy My wife and I just got back from staying at the mansion and I can say the experience was quite enjoyable. Our room was clean and comfortable. The owner was not only very hospitalable but a very warm person to talk to. The breakfast was tasty and filling and the steak dinners we ordered were cooked to... More

Prior to purchasing our Groupon, we checked the reviews and decided to take a chance on the Power's Mansion for a midweek romantic overnight. As usual, the TripAdvisor reviewers were spot on. If you expect a pricey and fancy B & B, don't come here; but if you like the eclectic, and aren't put off by not everything being "to... More

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly and beyond cordial staff. It was obvious that they wanted our stay to be truly enjoyable. The Inn is adorable. Our room was large, clean and comfy. When I called Alfred (our host at the Inn) to inquire about a nice restaurant for dinner, he surprised us by telling... More

Everything is falling apart, bathrooms are in some of the rooms with just a curtain around it. Our bed was as old as the house, and the spring wire was poking through. No screens on the windows so the roof rats can come in. Musty moldy smelling, dirty rooms and leaky tubs. Astro turf lawn and the breakfast is in... More

If you love history, this place had tons! Rooms are small but very comfortable. The best part was each room had a journal that guests can write in. Our book dated back to 1999. The owner Alfred greeted/served us breakfast which was a delicious buffet. Best pizza ever was across the street @ Rockin Robs.

We stayed at the Powers Inn on Feb. 6th and had a great experience. Alfred is absolutely a great host - very personable and friendly - and a great brewer as well! His hospitality really sets this place apart from your typical hotel chain with less engaged staff. While my husband and I look forward to returning, I would say... More

We really enjoyed our one night stay at this B&B. The mansion is old, but we enjoyed the staying in a place with such character. Alfred, the owner was very helpfull and friendly and the breakfast he cooked was wonderful. This property is also in a great location. You can walk to downtown for dinner or shopping.

The architecture of this old mansion was worth the trip. Small public rooms with fireplaces and a wealth of authentic period furniture. It was hard not to daydream about what it must have been like to live in this beautiful place at the turn of the century. As others have said, it squeaks, it creaks and everything is not level.... My husband and I stayed at the Power's Mansion for an early Valentine's date. We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone. The mansion is 134 years old so as long as you know that going in, then you will have a great time. Anything that old is going to have a few issues! We do feel... More

I bought this visit on Travelzoo. I was there only a few hours and decided to leave. The place was old, hot, rundown and plants were overrun. Could not find the front of the building to enter. Tried calling, emailing and texting after I left and no one ever responded to me. I only received half my money back from... More
