We stayed at the mansion last week with our children. We enjoyed it. The staff was welcoming and our room was clean and quiet. It is an old home and we enjoyed learning about its history. There is some deferred maintenance evident but it is charming. The breakfast provided was stellar and we appreciated that Mr. Lee provided our kids... More

The main reason we chose this inn was based on the "fact" that the bar would be open for appetizers, drinks and dinner. No, it is "temporarily" closed for the big wedding season. We found out by accident really and much too late to rebook, we were not advised. The website needs to reflect what is available when, and what... More

This restored property is what it claims to be - restored. It is not modern but the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We checked into our room - the Power Room - which is exactly as the photos and the description on the website says it is. Reception is staffed for... More

Was just there last week and I have to say that I was disappointed. It's a beautiful and historic mansion but not kept . It is terrible. There is so much clutter, fake flowers and junk- even a Xmas tree still set up that it detracts from the beauty of the house. There was no person at the mansion at... More

We arrived early in the day and since our room was not yet ready we stopped at the desk to ask what there was to see and do in the area. The proprietor, Alfred Lee gave us a beautiful description of what we might do along with a hand drawn outline of what and where to go. We spent the... More

We received a travel zoo certificate as a gift and didn't know what to expect. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and the location is great. Close to downtown, the freeway, and several restaurants and bars. We stayed in the lighthouse room which was nicely decorated, clean, and has it's own entrance for added privacy. They even offer beef... More

Definitely enjoyed our one night here. The ambiance was quaint and lovely. Enjoyed the perfectly manicured grounds after dinner. So thankful for air conditioning as the temp was 100 or more. Breakfast buffet was way above average. Alfred Lee (proprietor) is a charming, personable and interesting man..

Lovely historical mansion near Old Town Auburn, with period furniture and old photos. Very friendly staff, very accommodating. We had a VERY relaxing stay in the super-quiet "Chinese" room and would definitely stay there again!

I would like to thank Alfred Lee and the staff at Power’s Mansion Inn. They made my daughter's dream wedding a reality! It was a perfect event of unforgettable wedding moments and memories. They both said the overnight accommodations were great and morning service and foods was as well excellent. Thank you Powers Mansions for making everything special! DAD

If your looking for a simple and sweer wedding about 100 people, you have found the perfect venue. I had my wedding here in july and all i can say is positive complements. Its normal to have something "bad" or "wrong" happen on your wedding day, but i can honestly say every thing was perfect! There was no drama and... More
