We had a wonderful 3 day 2 night experience at the Inn. The breakfasts were incredible. The Inn itself is quite historic and the area around Auburn is amazing. We were quite taken by the old town, museums and shops. We will be returning soon. Mr. Lee was quite engaging and interesting to talk with. The history and charm of... More

I can't say enough good things about our stay here. Alfred, the owner, was such a gracious host. Upon check-in he led us to the Lighthouse room, one of many themed rooms in the mansion. Then it was off to the Power Club for a sampling of his many hand-crafted beers. Being a homebrewer myself, it was a joy to... More

My husband surprised me for my birthday with a weekend at Power Mansion. The place is a beautiful old place, but to our dismay we found it to be extremely short handed and run down. Yes, Mr. Lee is a nice man, but he really needs to hire a few more people to help him run the BB. Here is... More

First let me say that Auburn was really a fun weekend getaway. Lots to do in the immediate vicinity...wine tasting, art shops, old town, hiking, etc. Don't hesitate to go there! The Power Mansion Inn was nice, and has a lot of potential, but it is run-down, and has a lot of deferred maintenance. The place is just a bit... More

We recently spent a couple of days at the Power Mansion in Auburn and what a nice surprise. The hotel itself is a 15 room inn owned and operated by Alfred Lee who is a very interesting man to talk to. Not only is he a successful business man, but also an inventor. He also speaks five languages fluently I... More

Power Mansion Inn was a charming Victorian. Rooms were comfortable. Mostly surprised by the owner, Alfred Lee. He does so much around there to make his guests comfortable, happy and amazed. He's a great conversationalist and he's full of stories, advice, and a great cook, beer maker and so much more. We really enjoyed our stay there. Thank you!

Our first Bed & Breakfast adventure in Auburn California. The owners were very nice and helpful. The Victorian Mansion inn is a great place to unwind and enjoy a romantic weekend. The inn is walking distance to historic Auburn and restaurants. The honeymoon room has a great view of the grounds and wedding gazebo.

We visited here for a night while visiting family in the area and loved it. The breakfast the next morning was amazing. The owner even brought another plate when a friend showed up to say hi. The bar has a huge selection of microbrewery made by the owner.

We stayed at the mansion last week with our children. We enjoyed it. The staff was welcoming and our room was clean and quiet. It is an old home and we enjoyed learning about its history. There is some deferred maintenance evident but it is charming. The breakfast provided was stellar and we appreciated that Mr. Lee provided our kids... More
