Have stayed here several times. Rooms are nice and clean.

No extra amenities so be sure to bring shampoo (didn't the first time and had to make a run to the 99 cent store).

Beds firm and comfortable. TV has some upgraded channels.

Wi-fi is available for a few dollars extra.

Rooms used to be less expensive from internet booking, but not currently.

Pet friendly.

Beautiful pool, but it is not heated...brrr... more

i had read reviews of the Santa Anita Inn on this site. The grounds are so well maintained, shame about the rooms.

The Motel 6 is the only other lodging overlooking the racetrack.

This is a big plus. The grounds have lots of mature trees, the road outside is quiet 15 minutes after the racing ends.

The rooms are small but bright. The TV has ESPN + ESPN2.

The only negative is the lack of a coffeemaker and a fridge.

However the lobby serves coffee in the morning.

A block away in Arcadia is a donut shop and a Dennys.

If you go up the hill to Old Pasadena there is a Whole Foods, Starbucks + Peets coffee shop.

If you are on the ground floor you have to hope for the people above keeping sociable hours.

Price is fixed at $55 Sun - Thurs $59 Fri-Sat.

The racetrack often has giveaways (a stein, welcome mat + backpack in Oct). It was nice to be able to return to the room without missing a race or... more
