When I was told that we couldn't get rooms at The Grand Californian for our recent trip to Disneyland I was disappointed. I'm an older man with a bad back and it was so close and convenient staying at the GC. The closest place we could get was The Disneyland Hotel. The monorail used to stop there but it doesn't... So now the kids are grown and we went by ourselves to Disneyland and splurged by staying at the Disneyland Hotel, something we could not afford with three kids before. I got a great military rate which I appreciated but make no mistake, it still costs twice as much as good neighbor hotels. The room was large and comfortable and... More

We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times with our kids. And each time it's been a great experience. The hotel brings the magical feeling to your room. With all the small attention to detail, it will make your stay a memorable one.

I am a premium annual pass holder and had been planning this weekend for a long time. I ended up booking it through Costco Travel because it came with character dining for everyone in the group ($45 per person), a lanyard with pin, free photo and a bag tag for everyone. It was my daughters magic birthday (15 on the... More

My brother and I stay here every time we come to Disneyland (3-4 times a year, we are annual pass holders). You simply cannot beat the location, it is minutes away from the monorail and downtown Disney is just steps away from the pool. Normally, we arrive at around 3pm and request that we stay in the Adventureland tower because... More

A short family trip to Disneyland. 6 adults, 1 teen and 2 kids. We booked a 3 bedroom suite at the Disneyland Hotel. We have stayed here before but not with this size group. It was perfect. I couldn't find a layout of the room before I booked so I have attached badly drawn layout :) sorry I didn't take... More

I stayed at this hotel overnight and found the rooms to be spacious and modern. I was on the top floor which I think was the 29th, with views of the car park. The only thing I would have changed was that the room was supplied by vending machines in the hall for light snacks and water or soft drinks.... More

If you want the full experience of Disneyland with the convenience of being on property for your stay, choose this hotel. Despite the Grand Californian and Paradise Pier being other obvious choices, this hotel was THE original where the monorail passed by to pick up and drop off guests. Every inch of the rooms and towers are covered in magic... More

We've stayed at The Grand Californian several times and loved it but on this last trip, I just didn't want to pay that rate so opted for the Disneyland Hotel. With 2 teenagers who want to roam freely between the parks and stay out til the park closes, you can't beat staying on the property. The pool is great and... More
