Just spent a week there. And really the only good thing I can say is, location, location, location. The room was nicer then Disney's Ft. Wilderness Lodge, BUT two of their 3 restaurants were closed. When I walked over to the quick service, the guard there said to check the lounge for coffee and pastries. I don't drink coffee and... More

We are DVC members and own two vacation club memberships. As members we have taken several cruises and have been totally satisfied and impressed. The only two resort stays have been sadly disappointing. Last year we went to the Aaulani and this year the Grand California. Our stay at the Grand Californian was a dream for my husband and I,... Highlights: 1) Location 2) Kid friendly Serious problems: 1) You have to chase down a server to get a drink at the pool 2) Bell service is slow and incompetent After staying at the Disneyland Hotel in the Spring, we were so looking forward to the Grand California. What a let down. The rooms and services are so much better... More

We booked this hotel months ago then just before going I read some of the reviews and was dreading it but all the bad stuff we certainly didn't see and am glad we booked it. Yes it's expensive for what you get. The rooms aren't massive and facilities in rooms basic but it was certainly clean and tidy and comfortable.... More

My husband, 2 year old son and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at the Grand Californian. We choose this property for the location and we were so glad we did-with a 2 year old who needed an afternoon nap, it was nice that we could be back to our room in less than 10 minutes from just... Loved staying here, from the moment we saw the "Welcome Home" sign, my excitement built for the trip ahead. They have awesome restaurants on property. Loved the rocking chairs fronting the TV for the kids in the main lobby. We utilized the pool on a relax day. Definitely recommend staying here. If you can, upgrade to the rooms with the... More

We just spent 7 days at the hotel at a cost of over $400 per night(cheapest room). We checked in but rooms are very tired. We could not get internet in our room do they moved us to a cheaper room and not only did it not have internet but the phone did not work. So... They moved us to... More

It is steps away from the magic kingdom. It literally opens up into California adventure and that was very nice. The rooms were clean and we had a great view of the fireworks I would highly recommend it for families who can afford to stay at a nice hotel

I stayed here for business for one night. The hotel decor is really impressive - both from the outside and inside the lobby area.Unfortunately at the last moment my family were not able to join me - so I just worked more!. The location is obviously perfect for Disneyland with a back entrance into Downtown Disney. The room was pretty... More

This is our third visit staying here this year (and we aren't even visiting the parks!) Forget the naysayers that complain about the decor and lack of Disney touches....this is a LODGE & SPA!!! You still have the amazing friendly cast members that greet and welcome you at every corner, and the closeness to the parks and downtown disney cannot... More
