This is our family's third stay at the Grand Californian Hotel. We've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier (once each) as well. In terms of accommodations, the property itself is beautiful (especially the lobby), but the rooms are smallish and quite ordinary, especially for the price. The Disneyland Hotel has nicer, more spacious rooms, and the kids generally... More

My family and I also stayed here 4 years ago. Not much has changed. We requested the bunk beds and got them this time. The bunk beds also have a trundle bed underneath them if you have 3 kids (or yours aren't old enough for the top bunk). The rooms are not big, but there is a small refrigerator and... More

Spent half my Spring Break here with family of four (10 year old and 6 year old). Hotel is definitely a premium, but if this is within your budget, it is THE way to experience Disneyland. Pros: 1. Location. You have direct access to California Adventureland, a very short walk to Disneyland and in the heart of Downtown Disney. 2.... More

We enjoyed our stay. The primary reason we stayed here was for the entrance into the park from the hotel....however that entrance had a HUGE line at opening. We ended up going through the front park entrances. The hotel itself is great, however our regular 2 queen room was average. It would have been nice to be in a bigger... More

It is a nice property and the location is outstanding. With that said, our room was very cramped for 2 adults and 2 small children. Stayed just 1 night before moving over to the Howard Johnson's for less then half the cost of the Californian and the rooms were significantly larger.

This place is fantastic and made our trip so much easier and enjoyable. We were only here one night, but even the kids felt it was some place special. From the moment you drive on to the property the pampering begins. The lady at the front gate greeted us warmly and called us by name. When we arrived at the... More

This is the second time we have visited the Grand Californian. Hoping things would be better this time. Not. You really need to be drinking the "Disney Kool-Aid" to be able to stomach the cost of staying there, the small rooms and the "fake smile" service givers are just out of line. I don't want to sound too bitter but... More

We have stayed here at least 3 different times and each time we always say to each other "that was way too expensive". However, if you want outstanding customer service, a clean nice room and entrance to the park this is for you. You will pay through the nose though so brace yourself when you receive the bill! One thing... More

Great service, very helpful staff, stayed in the 2-queen room with balcony to the courtyard (though we were close to the monorail we didn't find it too noisy); hotel takes you right out to the Adventureland park, so very easily accessible to parks; food (buffet) was excellent at the Storytellers Café and in Disneyland Park at the Plaza Inn.

This hotel has by far the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. From the moment you get there, it is 5 star service all the way. The employees were excellent. Everyone was very knowledgeable and eager to help. I cannot say enough about the location. You wake up and walk directly into California Adventure Park. It is also in... More
