So we have been staying at the GCH since it opened in 2001. This is our prefereed hotel when coming to Disneyland. We have definitely seen the prices jump from our first visits. You definitely pay for the location, I just wish the rooms were a little larger (as others have stated). They have changed their check-in policy (for the... More

Wonderful staff - great food - proximity to the park a bonus for a disabled person - lovely atmosphere within the hotel - our king sized room was huge and when we ordered room service it was a fair price and great food and drink

It is convenient to stay here, that's for sure. However, I paid over $600 for one night in a club level room. I don't mind paying that at the Montage, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, etc., but at the Grand Californian? I don't think so. You are just paying for the convenience of being close to Disneyland. Save your money and... More

I enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was polite, and helpful. It was nice being able to take a park break and go back to out room. The only thing that could have been better is the pool area, there are not enough chairs in the pool area to accommodate the amount of guests and the pool staff are... More

Surprised my Partner and Nephew and his wife by checking in for 2 nights on our Sun-Tues stay here last week. We are not DVC members and seldom can afford to stay in Deluxe hotels so we are not expecting perfection, but the Hotel was amazing! The lobby was spectacular and I didn't see any dust anywhere! Our standard room... More

This was once the nicest hotel to stay at for Disneyland. Now it is the Disneyland hotel. We used our DVC points, we were given a hotel room (not a villa) there is no way that this hotel is worth the $300+ a night! The Disneyland hotel is cheaper and in my opinion it is nicer. This hotel is not... More

Just spent a week there. And really the only good thing I can say is, location, location, location. The room was nicer then Disney's Ft. Wilderness Lodge, BUT two of their 3 restaurants were closed. When I walked over to the quick service, the guard there said to check the lounge for coffee and pastries. I don't drink coffee and... More

We are DVC members and own two vacation club memberships. As members we have taken several cruises and have been totally satisfied and impressed. The only two resort stays have been sadly disappointing. Last year we went to the Aaulani and this year the Grand California. Our stay at the Grand Californian was a dream for my husband and I,... Highlights: 1) Location 2) Kid friendly Serious problems: 1) You have to chase down a server to get a drink at the pool 2) Bell service is slow and incompetent After staying at the Disneyland Hotel in the Spring, we were so looking forward to the Grand California. What a let down. The rooms and services are so much better... More

We booked this hotel months ago then just before going I read some of the reviews and was dreading it but all the bad stuff we certainly didn't see and am glad we booked it. Yes it's expensive for what you get. The rooms aren't massive and facilities in rooms basic but it was certainly clean and tidy and comfortable.... More
