If its all about the kids this is a place you should go to and which they will definitely enjoy. Especially younger children seen that there are many attractions that are accessible. For the children It is like being in a wonderland and you can see how much they are enthralled and excited. therefore, it is a pleasure to see... More

Honestly, I don't have a set against Disney hotels, I am a Disney enthusiast but this hotel has only one thing going for it and that's the location. Disney think they can create MagicalMoments for their guests with their syrupy platitudes but really this hotel is just too big to offer any kind of service continuity. If you go to... More

We just spent 4 nights there during a major heat wave and were so happy to have a spot to rest and cool off, while still being so close to all of the action! This was our 4th or 5th stay, so obviously we love it. The rooms are nice basic hotel rooms but the resort is stunning. The decor... More

We stayed here for four nights during a trip to Disneyland with my family. It is certainly pricey, but I figure that's the cost of a great location. The side entrance to California Adventure is particularly nice, especially with small kids in tow. We were able to stay on the club lounge, and, while again an added cost, I did... More

Just returned from a three night stay at the Grand Californian with my wife and two of our adult friends. We had a blast at this super nice hotel that is steps away from everything we were there to do. Being able to come back to your room during the day for a nap or to just relax is definitely... More

We have been to Disneyland about a dozen times in the last 9 years. We usually priceline a 4* hotel in the area. I've always stared dreamy eyed at this hotel everytime I passed it in downtown disney or as I stood in line on Grizzly River Run. I could never bring myself to fork over the $ required to... More

It was great having early entry access to Disneyland/California Adventure. The hotel was beautiful. Rooms were basic. Loved being able to come back to the hotel to drop things off or take a break. Cast members at hotel were nice and helpful. There was a little café that had decent breakfast that were fast and reasonable for Disney.

I stayed on the Grand Califorian for two days with three days at the park. This was my 5th stay and each time it gets worse. The last 3 stays were as a DVC member. DVC members ar definitely second class citizens at Disney Resorts, no daily maid service or coffee unless you pay extra for both etc. The front... More

My first stay as a guest of DVC son. Loved the location and all pools and amenities. Closeness to parks was excellent. You can walk everywhere. If you run or walk for exercise you will find places to do that. Don't miss Calif Advnture Wonderful world of color. Downside was Disney way of handling crowds at entrance.. They used to... More

AS DVC members, we stayed four nights (Monday-Friday) following Labor Day weekend. The hotel is beautiful and as only Disney can do, they really immerse guests in the atmosphere of the hotel; in this case, the mountain forests of California. We also enjoyed the background music while sitting in the hot tub. The direct entrance to California Adventure was great... More
