We recently returned from a really fun 4 nights at the Grand Californian. We celebrated my daughter's 10th Birthday while we were there, and the Disney folks really made it a wonderful and really special occasion. We paid extra to have one of the birthday packages in the room when we arrived, and our daugher was so surprised and excited... more

We arrived at the GCH early, 10:30am to pre-register, check our bags and get straight the CA Adventure to explore Disney's Food and Wine Festival. Upon arrival we were told that the room type that we requested was not available. I know, room types are not guaranteed. I expressed my disappointment but wasn't about to let it ruin my anniversary... more

I booked a 5 night 6 day trip through Costco Travel with food tickets ($3000 without travel). We arrived to be told that our reservation was canceled due to insufficient funds despite having paid cash for the whole vacation. Turns out, Costco screwed up the original reservation and rather than delete it, voided it due to insufficient funds. The clerk... more

This Hotel wa great. It was close to everything in the Resort. If it wasn't within walking distance the Resort provided free shuttles every 15 minutes to the parks and shopping. The service was great anything we needed we got it right away. The pool is great for children. Adults might find it loud on high travell times like early... more

The Grand Californian has some similarities to the Grand Floridian. They are the top hotels at their respective parks. Service at the Grand Californian is superior to that of the Grand Floridian but this does not mean that service is excellent. Actually it is probably fair to say that service is not excellent anywhere at Disney, they try but in... more

After having this be our 5th time staying at The Grand Californian, we were some what disappointed. We had booked this trip to have fun before our son's surgery on his feet and had purposely requested a room with two queen beds and a day bed. When we were checking in we were given a room with a queen bed... more

Having stayed at various disney properties in both Orlando and Paris, the most noticeable fact in Anaheim was a lack of disney magic. The majority of the staff seemed downright miserable and whilst there was some 'theming' to the property, they still seemed to miss a lot of tricks. Often there was no music at all in the lobby, just... more

Stayed at the Grand from June 14-19th. Had requested a quiet room away from the construction going on at the hotel, upper level theme park view, and we got exactly that. We were on the 5th floor with a view of Soarin Over California and Grizzly River Run. Our room was nice with a balcony which came in handy for... more

Disney's premier resort in California offers something that none of the other hotels in the area can - excellent location and a private entrance in to California Adventure. Nothing is better than leaving your room and being in line for a ride in less than 10 minutes. Of course, this convenience comes at a steep price. The exterior architecture and... more

We have wanted to stay at this property for so long, and we finally got our wish. We stayed for 3 nights and were lucky enough to get the exact room we wanted. We payed for the theme park view room, but we requested a Grizzy River Run view. At first it didn't look like we would get that exact... more
