My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights and used the hotel as a base of operations to explore Napa and Sonoma wine country. It's a 15-30 minute drive to most Napa wineries, a bit further to the ones in Sonoma. This is a reasonably priced alternative to more expensive lodgings farther north. The service was great, and the... more

At the end of our 7 week holiday we chose to stay here, as our family lives in Napa and the hotels there are grossly overpriced. We got a great rate from booking direct and were very pleased with our rooms. The two swans and their five baby chicks were a nice touch. We found the staff to be very... more

After writing a review detailing a less than satisfactory stay, the General Manager contacted me to attempt to make amends. I have to admit- that takes commitment and dedication, so my husband and I decided to give Gaia another chance for one night of Memorial Day weekend. I have to note several improvements over our last trip- our reservation was... more

We only stayed here 1 night, and we booked it because it looked like a good hotel for the price & offered a convenient stop-off point on our travels. It proved a cheaper alternative to the hotels in the Napa Valley, and the vineyards were just a short drive north (20-30 mins if I remember correctly). It had a nice... more

Great place if you can get a low rate (less than 99) - otherwise it's very average here. While it feels good to be eco-friendly, they don't do much to hype it outside of the cool lobby meters. If you get a room facing the interior or pond/pool, it's probably better - but the rooms are forgettable - not one... more

Very quiet, peaceful hotel... Very "green" if you're into that.. We stayed in room 140, which was downstairs, with a small patio right on the pond. While sitting outside enjoying the sun set, the swans swim up to the pond edge (8-10 feet away), and the ducks (4 of them) come within a couple feet of you, just to see... more

We were in the area on business for only one night and this was a great bargain for the area. The rooms were clean and peaceful and the property is very well kept. The bedding uses a duvet cover, not the "nasty" bedspread which is my primary criteria for staying in a hotel. The restaurant staff was very friendly and... more

I was there for a business trip in Napa, and had found that Gaia was one of the more reasonable and affordable hotels to stay at. The whole green experience was fantastic. The building is a representation of the butterfly effect, which I thought was highly creative. Not only a shape of a butterfly, but was made of recycled steel.... more

My boyfriend wanted to treat me to a local one night mini hotel getaway. In the American Canyon / Vallejo area there are very few hotel getaway options. After consulting with me and doing some research on tripadvisor my boyfriend decided on the Gaia Napa Valley Hotel. I'm glad that he did because we had a wonderful experience. Just about... more

WE stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and struggle to find fault with it. The room was clean, spacious, well equipped with fridge, coffee maker, microwave, etc. We didn't get any problems with noise unlike in some previous comments about this hotel. The location was good and easy to find (having just arrived in the US, and driving directly... more
