Was there to visit friends & family. The staff was excellent, the room was great, and the continental breakfast was good. If there was anything negative to say about it would be it is an older building(the rooms have been remodeled very nicely) so the parking lot is a little tight if they are full. Overall an excellent stay would... More

Stayed one night on the way to Arizona. Room was fine but price seemed a bit high for the area and the room. Otherwise staff very friendly, room clean, and breakfast was standard continental. Mattresses were a bit bouncy but not too bad.

A perfect place to stay while enjoying some of the untouched natural views in California. Staff was very friendly. Very clean and quiet rooms. The breakfast area is cozy with many choices and great hot coffee. I will definitely stay here when I am working and playing in the area.

I realize the options are limited in Alturas, but just keep on driving. Arrived late and was checked into a room that spelled of smoke and some other odor. Was so late at night apparent there was no other available rooms, so just toughed it out. Then received a smoking charge. Haven't touch a cigarette in my life. Place is... More

As per our conversation on the phone, I had no idea about your problem cause you didn't report the incident to anybody on the property. Our front desk is open 24 hours and would have gladly helped you to a fresh clean room so you could of got a great nights sleep. We were not sold out. Also what you... More

First recommendation, don't go to Alturas. But if you can't help it, the Best Western Trailside is probably the best place to stay in town. I've stayed at several other spots locally when traveling for work; none are as good. That's not saying this hotel is great; it's adequate. The room was pretty clean, and the check-in/out process was simple.... More

This Best Western was adequate, nothing negative or really positive. The town of Alturas is a small town and you have limited options. The breakfast was ok, the only hot food was waffles. The bed was older but not bad and the internet was a bit slow and clumsy to connect to but sufficient.

One of a few hotels on the main blvd in town . Not a very big town either . Right on the state highway , but where else can you be in this tiny town . Hotel was clean , neat and cozy . You can tell that it is a dated hotel but the furnishings in room made up... More

just what we expected: clean, convenient, very affordable. Great for an overnight stop. basic breakfast. woke up to balloons going up right outside our window when we opened the shades. Didn't realize they had a balloon festival. That was fun! WiFi a little sketchy.

Clean rooms, new A/Cs that allow the fan to run (we prefer the white noise) décor a little dated but fine, flat screen tv with good channel selection. If John checks you in, he's the best. Put the do not disturb in the door if you don't want the 9am knock-knock from housekeeping. Good breakfast variety with waffles, cereal, yogurt,... More

Very clean, comfortable room, only lacks outlets for electronics charging. The two queen bed room was very quiet for being on a main road. The beds are very comfortable, and having severe back issues makes me a bit of an expert in this area. The people are awesome, helpful and polite. As a final note, the water from the tap... More
