My husband and I had just found our we were pregnant and switched our trip last minute for Napa to Medocino and what a treat it was!! We decided to stay at the Fensalden Inn after finding it on Groupon ( or living social, can't quite remember). The owners were very sweet and had a card in our room congratulating... More

This is not the first time we have stayed at Fensalden but it is the first time since the Inn changed ownership years ago. It's as good as ever. Our family of three stayed in the Water Tower Suite, with our dog, as the Inn is dog-friendly in many respects. The suite was comfortable with an upstairs, almost loft-like bedroom... More

Wow what a beautiful setting. The Inn has a lot of historical significance and puts you back in time. We stayed in the tower room and brought our dogs. Dog bowls, treats and baggies for them, plush robes and a bottle of husch wine in the fridge for us. Walked the grounds with the dogs and visited the goat and... More

We recently stayed at Fensalden in the Bungalow. We were very pleased to see, that even though it was very rustic, was secluded and nice and quiet. The bungalow actually has all the comforts of home, minus the t.v. and phone. Additionally, it has beautiful views of the ocean, as well as some domesticated animals, and deer that come right... This B&B is a bit off from all the noises, including from HWY1. It makes it a bit difficult to find, especially in the dark, but, on the other hand, it is very secluded and quiet. We stayed in Mariner room on the second floor. It didn't have the real TV, but it had this expansive view to the ocean... More

My husband and I found the place on Groupon and decided to go here for a couple night for our honeymoon. It was amazing! We stayed in the tower room, which had a sliding glass door with a porch right off of it. We could go out there in the morning and watch the dear. At night we were able... More

Chris made us feel welcome, and most importantly was not too intrusive. Breakfasts were fabulous and we still talk about them months later. The property is pretty rustic, not too fancy but nice. Though we were not on the ocean, it was a nice base to explore the Mendocino area. We got to meet and dine with Chris' family, who... More

Enjoyed a 3 day stay at the Fensalden Inn at the end of Sept. 2013. Chris, the owner and innkeeper could not have been more accommodating. The Inn was comfortable and beautifully appointed. Numerous extras such as the complimentary bottle of wine and the snacks available at all times made the stay even more special. The view of the Pacific... More
