It was a quiet beautiful time at the inn; a well appointed room, a comfortable bed, helpful people with fantastic breakfasts. Did find the meals in Ft Bragg more to our tastes. more

This charming, historic inn is a wonderful respite from a hectic life. The inn keepers, Molli, Bob and Chris become fast friends who will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The view from the many common rooms is spectauclar as is the wild life. We missed the warmth of the people and place as soon as we... more

Belated thanks to Mollie, Chris and Bob for a second, thoroughly enjoyable visit. You set the standard for a warm, welcoming and relaxing inn. The house is fascinating, full of charm, fine details, and authenticity. Your breakfasts and other treats are great. It was very kind of you to include "Errol", my grey parrot as a full status guest, with... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Fensalden as a break from our 2 week camping trip around California. Our hosts Molly, Chris and Bob were so sweet! we stayed in the mariner, the room is so cute and we had out own deck with a view of the meadow and ocean. we had a lot of fun during wine hour... more

If you are looking for tranquility, this place is for you (no tv, no barking dogs, it's away from the highway). We stayed in the Mariner room. It has a lovely view from the second story. We could easily see the ocean and the back garden with the many quail, dove, finches, jays and humming birds. At night the stars... more

We stayed one night and I wished we had time to stay longer. The hosts, Molli and Chris, go above and beyond to help with anything you might need, from dinner reservations to information about local attractions. They were so welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with its own deck and sitting area. There was a half... more

We arrived just in time for wine and cheese! That was just the beginning! It is like a picture from a classic romance novel, from the moss covered fencing, to the small water fall in the beautiful courtyard, to the rooms! We stayed in the main house, Hawthorn suite. It was warm, comfortable, beautiful and worth every penny! Then you... more

This Inn, near Mendociino, was again a great experience. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to meet our needs. The room was comfortable with a fireplace for the cool nights and mornings and the King bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were fabulous all four days we were there. The recommendations for activities and dinners were... more

My wife and I easily fell into the charms of the silence, character and soul of Fensalden. We were attending the April Summer Kamp of Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone so we were gone most of the days in retreat but we always felt we were coming home at night. Lyn and Bob the hosts are very charming and welcoming... more

It's hard to say what was best about staying at Fensalden. Here's the list of reasons we recommend this place, and plan to go back: the helpful, welcoming owners, the gorgeous ocean views, the complimentary in-room wine and comfy robes, the in-room fireplace, the gourmet breakfasts, the wine hour, it's proximity to both the Anderson Valley wine country and all... more
