Located in a spectacular setting, this very pretty inn is relaxing and the rooms are large and very comfortable. The service from the staff was friendly and accommodating. I have eaten in the restaurant on a number of occasions, for both breakfast and dinner, and have never found it less than excellent. The dishes were well thought out and prepared... more

This was the best location in Mendocino - we had stayed in Sonoma then traveled up route 128 - winding beautiful roads - leads thru Redwoods - really pretty - and of course, stoppped along the way at a few winieres - Golden Eye (DuckHorn's sister winery) one of our favorites. Pinot Noir Country. Albion River Inn consists of cottages... more

My husband and I were booked for a Saturday and Sunday night at the Albion River Inn for two nights to attend a wedding 2 miles up the road. I usually check tripadvisor prior to making any hotel arrangements, however, we live in Sonoma Co. and I made the decision to stay here after reviewing several places on a Mendocino... more

My husband and I absolutely loved this. We arrived on a stormy, cold night, but our room was warm and cozy. We lit a fire, and we could hear the ocean crashing just yards from our private balcony. The beds were so comfortable, and with the comfy bed, the firelight, the gas lamp, the rain, and the sounds of the... more

My husband and I were married at the Albion River Inn twenty years ago and always wanted to return, but life got in the way time and time again. Finally, we just made our plans and stuck to them and we loved it as much the second time around, twenty years later. The views are as magnificent as we remembered... more

We married on May 16th. On our way north, from SFO we stopped at the Albion Campground in our motorhome and went to late lunch/early dinner to the Albion Inn. The place was closed but they nicely opened it for us and let us sit and enjoy the view from the window next to the garden. What a lovely place!... more

The Albion River Inn is wonderful. I have been there 3 times now and plan to go back many more times! They have an award winning restaurant and wine selection, and both deserve the awards! The food is absolutely delicious- even if you don't stay here I recommend going to the restaurant which is open to the public for dinner.... more

After driving past the place and looking from outside at several others in the area, we went back & negotiated an excellent price with the friendly chap at reception. He came down from $189 odd to $139 when I said we had a limit and it would have gone down more if we'd stayed 3 nights but we wanted to... more

Great views of the cove and ocean, and the foghorn lulled us to sleep. Large ocean front room, needs updating and the bed uncomfortable. The wood stove added a nice touch and kept us warm. Half bottle of wine and 2 pieces of chocolate were in our room when we arrived. The linens was not as soft as I would... more

Albion River Inn 12/23-26/08 We were very happy with our choice of this place a few miles south of Mendocino. In all honesty, it’s a fancy, TV-free motel, gloriously sited. Every room has an outstanding view of iconic northern California coast, but there is minimal guest service and no lobby area to hang out in. That said, our room was... more
