Perfect location next to lots of restaurants, and newly getting upgraded. I will be back and will recommend this location to all travelers. Convince to Oakland airport if your traveling in the bay area. Public transportation right at your door step that will take you to the trains that goes into San Francisco.

This hotel is a little out of the bay area/city centre BUT the bus takes 20mins, costs a couple of ££ and the hotel prices are SO much less than city centre. Has iHop, burger king and other restaurants on its doorstep. Area is a little dodgey, was a bit worried about my car but everything was fine. Rooms are... More

The room was adequate for a short stay. It was clean and had been renovated. Everything worked ok. Although it was on a busy street and was full, I did not hear any disturbing noises and got a good nights sleep. There is a Starbucks, a bagel shop, a taco bell, a burger king and walgreens near by.

I wasn't expecting much as this was a downtown strip motel in Berkeley. To my surprise the room was clean, beds comfortable, nice granite in the bathroom area, newish flat screen TV and no stains on the carpet. The only defect was a shower curtain rod barely hanging onto the wall. There was a noticeable smell of cleanser, but that... More

the room was not particularly clean. The bathroom was broken up , Broken tiles and towel racks. There were only 2 towels and our reservation was for four people. To top the whole experience off We had two teenage boys and the continental breakfast was over right at 9 and they were unable to get a bite to eat. Most... More

There are so many things that go into giving a review. But the main key factor of this review is based on the genuine Hospitality, accommodating , helpful, employees at this Hotel. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and on my visit back to the bay I came back to the Alameda Rodeway Inn after a horrible... More

We chose this hotel because the hotels in San Fransico are just way too expensive. It was a bit of a drive when you wanted to go to SF but we did not need to be in SF the 4 days we stayed anyway. The location does not look very safe but we did not encounter any trouble... Staff was... More

I used to live in Alameda so I am very familiar with the neighborhood. That is probably key to my approval of this Rodeway Inn because someone new to the area would have every reason to think twice when they see the place. I moved there in 1990 and I don’t recall the hotel ever looking any better (or worse,... More

Location is ideal...a short 5 minute ride to the ferry to San Francisco, at a cost of $6.25 each way. No real reflection on the place, but some guests, or non guests...we never found out...make a lot of noise outside our room, at ungodly hours...makes for a sleepless night. Did call the front desk, and it stopped. Housekeeping is a... More

We stayed here 3 nights when visiting San Fran on a budget. The location is bittersweet - the bus stop straight to San Fran in a one second walk away from the inn, costs $4 and only takes 15 mins taking you right to the heart of the city. HOWEVER, the location was dodgy meaning there were loud arguments heard... More
