Stayed for three nights in April for a medical appointment in Oakland. Not really located near anything to walk to. However a short drive will find some places to eat. My only real complaint was my room reeked of vomit. I stayed the week after Spring break so draw your own conclusions. I brought the smell to management's attention and... More

The hotel was grubby and poorly maintained. We turned down the first room we were offered because of this and because it was small. Were those ancient bloodstains on the concrete landing outside? The lobby area was poorly furnished and had the atmosphere of a train station waiting-room. Who was that rather sinister figure eating a take-out meal in the... More

There isn't a lot of hotels to choose from in Alameda and this one is the closest to Forbidden Island the Tiki bar on Lincoln. The price online is considerably less than when you call the hotel directly. We arrived at around sevenish on a Saturday night. The room had already been charged to my credit card. The front desk... Thought this would be a nice place because of the ratings. However, when we walked into the room we knew we had been scammed!! The room was dirty, the drapes are so worn you can see through them in places. The bathroom was dirty and the shower leaked. The only upside is you are on the marina and by the... More

We stayed at the Marina Village inn in January. The location is lovely. Our room was very smelly. It was a rank combination of urine and old cigarettes. The rug is so old and so filthy, I would not walk on it in my bare feet. I was not convinced it had been cleaned since the last occupants left, we... More

The hotel is dated. There was a bottle cap on the floor. The comforter was all rumpled. The heater didn't work. The price is quite a bit ($189) for what you get. I emailed them to ask for a copy of my receipt and never got a response. The view is amazing-right on the marina-but unless it's a beautiful day... More

If you want tranquility by the Estuary, this is a great location next to Oakland Yacht Club. I've known this place since the late 1980s... the Inn is painted every few years, but otherwise hasn't had a facelift in decades and shows it. The location is quiet, off the beaten path yet convenient if you have a rental car; its... More

Old and Tired. The only thing "king" about the King Suite was the bed.Way overpriced as it was nothing more than a mom and pop econoroom that happened to have loveseat and desk-that's a suite? Beautiful marina view from the balcony-the only redeeming factor.I'm being generous with the "average" rating. Great location but I'd look elsewhere. By the way the... More

Needed a one night motel stay in Alameda while celebrating a family birthday in Alameda. All the Chain Motels were booked so I took this one. The price was $129--In retrospect, WAAAY to high for the accommodations. The location was exquisite--adjacent to the Oakland Yacht Club facing the estuary. Once we found our room (no help from the surly front... More
