We were extremely dissatisfied with this hotel. We got a very small room adjacent to the laundry chute. The room itself was about 10 x 12 and had a view of the banquet facilities rooftop HVAC system. In general the room decor was run down. Veneered furniture was peeling, lampshade was miss-shapen, and etc. The lobby bar where we had... more

I stayed in this hotel simply for logistical reasons it was either this or the Hyatt at Westlake Village. I picked this hotel because I have been here before for a meeting and it seemed like a nice hide away eventhough it was literally next to the 101 freeway. Not much of a scenic view from the window since your... more

Somtimes branding gets overdone - The Renaissance by Marriott in Agoura Hills, California is a pleasant enough hotel to stay for business. First the location - It is conveniently located right off the 101 freeway and is a five story hotel. Complimentary parking is available right in front of the hotel. As you may see from my other reviews I... more

Stayed here for a week on business. The room was comfortable. Stayed on the concierge level. Was not able to get hot water one night and one morning for a shower. Pay per view didn't work but was charged for a movie anyway. Room service was quick. Breakfast at the concierge lounge was typical (bacon, sausage, eggs (scrambled and boiled).... more

We stayed here for one night while showing visiting family around LA. We got a very good price on Priceline so the stay was extra sweet. I had a very relaxing time. I actually used the fitness room and jacuzzi which I rarely ever use while at hotels. The fitness room was state of the art with personal tv monitors... more

Spent one night for a wedding in this Renaissance. The hotel was extremely comfortable and very clean and quiet. Absolutely no complaints. Also the bartender provided excellent service and the food I ordered at the bar was above average. Overall I was very happy with the choice that the wedding had made. more

Not much to add to other reviews: excellent managed hotel (on weekends maybe weddings) in one of the nicer area close to L.A. (check priceline-bids before paying the official rate!) All rooms with balcony and flat-screen TV, bathrooms recently remodeled. The pool is on backside, just standard as everywhere else. Hotel has "Wifi and wired LAN for a fee" but... more

Stayed here over the weekend using Marriott's 2 nights for 1 offer. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Yes, this is not a hotel for people with children, but is an upscale contemporary hotel. There was a wedding one night, but the hotel was a quiet and we had a very nice experience. The room we got (king bed) had... more

We traveled as a group of 5, with ages between 13 and 52. We booked through Expedia at $129.95/night including free breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic. The full complement of made to order omelet’s, waffles, pancakes, etc. Buffet of sausage, eggs, bacon, berries, melons, cereals, etc. One of the best breakfast selections I have seen in a long time. Service... more

Having stayed at this property at least 4 times, I can say that I have been very satisfied each time. Staff go out of their way to provide service, get the statement correct, and provide upgrades (I am a Silver Marriott Rewards member). The rooms are adequate to spacious, all well-appointed, and some have lanais. Others have hot tubs or... more
