This is an amazing place to visit and stay. It's nestled in a mountain setting, has an excellent restaurant and saloon, and very comfortable rooms. The owners are very friendly and offer excellent service. Great area for fishing, hiking, seeing wildlife, and just relaxing.

We were very pleased with the Tal-Wi-Wi Lodge. It's a lovely setting outside town, very peaceful and quiet. We chose one of the older rooms, as it was charming, and had great ventilation, so it was cool and yet cozy. The new rooms are even nicer and have air conditioning ... but who needs it in the mountains? The restaurant... More

Beautiful delicious restaurant but after that forget it! The rooms were hot but if you opened windows ALL the smokers smoke came in. You can't sit on porch because everyone smokes out there. When we tried to go on beautiful balcony of restaurant guess what... Everyone was smoking there too! Go if you are a smoker, otherwise skip it if... More

My husband and I decided to drive the Devil's highway along the eastern part of AZ. The drive from our home was going to be the adventure and we needed a place to spend the night. Through reviews we picked the Tal Wi Wi Lodge. We arrived after a terrific day exploring part of the high country of AZ and... More

Unfortunately, the new part was not yet completed, which we were hoping for when we made the reservation. Our room was definitely sad & dated. The bedroom/sitting area had received a face lift with knotty pine walls & wood-slat blinds, but the bathroom was way past due for a renovation. We ate at the restaurant & met the lovely lady... My husband and I have been staying at the Tal Wi Wi Lodge in Alpine, AZ for many years. Our first stay was probably back in the mid '90's when the place was VERY rustic, with squeaky metal spring beds, no TV or phone and wi fi wasn't invented - but there was peace and quiet and solitude. There have... More

We try to stay at Tal Wi Wi Lodge at least once a year, but this might be the last time. We loved Tal Wi Wi for the peace and quiet and the lack of modernization, now there are TV's, WiFi, and a small gym. (the old restaurant ) Traffic was in and out from 6am to 8pm, and don't... More

We stayed for a night over Mother's Day weekend, and had dinner at the lodge. We had a poor dining experience, and when we notified the manager, rather than being apologetic or empathetic, she basically scolded us. Our food, including the appetizer, took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive. With two young children at our table, this was especially... More

We arrived here around 7pm after a long drive from Scottsdale AZ through the Apache Trail. We pulled up and went inside to see if there were any rooms available. The place was very quiet (out of season), with just 1 lady working, and 1 man propping up the bar. The friendly manager chatted with us and checked us into... More
