My wife and I just returned from our annual week of fishing at Whalers Cove Lodge. We fished from August 16th thru 22nd. We were assigned to the same captain we had last year John Beath. Last year we not only came home with 300lbs of salmon, halibut and bottom fish fillets but I was also lucky enough to win... More

My wife and I discussed with our children how best to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We decied let's take the family to Whalers Cove Lodge for a great experience. There were 7 persons in our party. We fished for three days and each person carried home about 100 libs of fish frozen and well packed for the airplane. We... More

We fished the Queen Charlotte Islands the past 2 years and had a wonderful experience and caught lots of Kings, silvers, haluibut, cod and rock fish. We decided to try South East Alaska and found a few good reviews of WCL. I spoke with Alice and explained that we wanted to fish King Salmon, she assured me many times the... More

Everything about this place is FANTASTIC! The fishing, the food, the service, the accomodations. I went for the first time in July 2014 and I immediately signed up for the next year. Take home 100 pounds of fish each packaged to perfection. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

Last year (2013) was our 3rd trip to Whalers Cove. We chose Whalers Cove after fishing out of the Charlotte Islands in British Columbia for the prior 13 years. What a find. First, the staff makes you feel like you are one of the family that just came home for a visit. At first you are not sure what to... More

My Wife and I went to Alaska for our 27th anniversary and Whaler's Cove Lodge was the perfect gift to each other. The staff at Whaler's Cove provided us the equivalent of V.I.P. treatment from the time we were met at our motel till we were dropped off at the airport for our return trip home. Where we were left... More

Thank you Roger & Michelle! It was a pleasure to host you two! Thank you for all the great letters and notes to the staff after your stay. It meant a lot to the crew that makes the place run as it does (behind the scenes). Be sure to catch season 5 of Alaska's Fishing Paradise on The Sportsman Channel.... More

This was our second trip to Whalers Cove Lodge and it was even better than before. It always surprises me how welcoming and helpful the staff at the lodge is. The service, food and hospitality is second to none. The lodge is warm and inviting, the rooms are cozy. The fishing is unbelievable! We never caught so many fish in... More

That's what kept going through my head. Mind blowing ! You get the idea. The entire staff was fantastic ; remembered our names and even made me a cake on my birthday. Have you ever heard of such a thing. We were treated like royalty. The fishing was unbelievable. We easily limited every day. I thought it was going to... More

I wasn't sure what to expect for a middle of nowhere Alaska Fishing trip, that my husband had booked for his 60th Birthday. From the moment we arrived I knew this place was special. I thought customer service was a thing of the past but the Whalers Cove staff was OUTSTANDING!!! From the housekeepers to the fishing guides, everyone made... More

If you are looking for a great remote Alaska adventure at a reasonable price, this is the place. Location, rooms, food, boats, fish processing all great. Very friendly family atmosphere. I have done a lot of Alaska travel and this is one of the best all around experiences, especially for the wives. We can't wait to go back next summer.
