Because the hotel is a short walking distance from the mall area, we had oppurtunity to discover quirky shops, breweries, and great food stops along the way. The hotel is a good hotel, in a great location - close to transport links and sights - easy walking distance to the White House for example and shops, bars and restaurants close by. Nice, new, well-appointed hotel by the trendy Thompson lot. I loved the rooms but they are very modern, very white with nice ambient lighting etc, so if you're a traditionalist don't bother.
