Our room and the hotel were very clean. The maid did a great job everyday. There a number of nice small restaurants (French Bistro, City Lights in China and more) with reasonable prices within a few blocks. We had a great deal through American Airlines. Ask for a room on the quiet side. more

Awful hotel!

I would like to comment on all of the issues of my stay. I booked two rooms for the evening of 3/13/10. One room was not ready at 8pm when I checked in. It was not ready still at 10pm so I had to cancel that room. We were given a $25 coupon towards room service, which did not work.... more

It is true that we did get an incredible deal through the Hilton website. We stayed at the Executive Floor and it was already fully renovated. The room was great and the lounge was pretty good (although complimentary breakfast could have included warm dishes... so we ended up paying for the buffet, although well worth the price). We stay in... more

Was here for a conference, all staff members were very friendly and helpful, the conference facility served us well. Of course they are in the midst of a reno and one look tells you it was built mid 60s. The neighborhood feels safe, lots of interesting restaurants, stores, taverns nearby with a short walk to the Dupont metro station which... more

This is a tired, old property. Plus it suffers from an inconvenient location, insufficient dining options, and small rooms. The ongoing renovations will certainly help, but there only so many times that you can "refresh" a property. Staff was great and helpful. Club floor lounge was adequate, but not up to standards. more

My stay at the "still under construction" Washington Hilton was better than I thought it would be. I was ready to be disappointed by the walk to the gym (Mint) 3 blocks away in Adams Morgan -- but I really enjoyed their facilities / spa. The hotel's fitness facilities should open in June 2010 along with the outside pool and... more

I stayed at the Hilton Washington in October 2009, I loved it from the moment I stepped through the door, the room was comfortable , the bathroom large. I ate in the restuarant and had a drink at the bar everything was great. You can catch the hop on hop off bus out the front of the hotel, and Dupont... more

This place is undergoing substantial physical reconstruction, but I think they would have been better advised to undergo mental reconstruction first. I was sitting at the desk in my room, dressed only in my underwear, doing emails when I heard the card key enter my door and a second later- lo and behold, a maid! No knocking, no waiting, no... more

We booked the Hilton Washington in the full knowledge of the ongoing renovation works, expecting noise and mess, but hoping it wouldn't bother us too much as we would be out all day anyway. Apart from the canopied entrance and some facilities being closed, we never heard a thing from our 9th floor room. The staff were fantastically helpful with... more

We stayed here for 3 nights. Location is not bad, though it is about 12-15 mins walk to Metro (Dupont Circle). There are cafes/ eating places nearby. Our rooms that we stayed in are newly renovated, we were very satisfied with overall service. Room size is spacious enough. It would have been great if wireless internet was free. There is... more
