Stayed at this hotel for a week conference. Got a new room with upgraded amenities. The bathroom, linnens, beds, and new curtains and furniture look great!! Internet was VIA a DSL line in the room......that was the only down side. Restaurant expensive but food good. Typical business hotel that most people can expense to their employer. Tons of restaurants in... more

I had to attend a seminar in DC and took the family for a couple of nights on the spur of the moment. We ended up at the Hilton Washington because it seemed to be one of the few central hotels that had two beds in a room. It proved to be a great choice - comfortable, quiet, the friendliest... more

I was very disappointed in this hotel from the moment we arrived. The hotel is located on very busy Connecticut Avenue and it there is only one many entrance. We arrived to hotel to find that there is no valet parking. The entrance to the garage is around the corner on a very narrow street with cars on both sides.... more

I found the room to be fine. It could have done with a small fridge, but was otherwise a decent base for exploring DC. Staff are helpful. If you do not have heavy luggage, the walk to Dupont Circle Metro is about ten minutes. The hotel is still undergoing renovations, but they were not intrusive. Internet is about $14 per... more

I made reservations unaware of this hotel being under renovation. I was concerned when I got there but that was never a problem. We enjoyed all four nights and NEVER heard any construction noise. The pool had been demolished to be rebuilt but that didn't bother me at all as I didn't intend to use it anyway. The location was... more

Good News First: I love the location - convenient to metro, restaurants, and street parking that's free for the whole weekend if you time it right. Their parking is the cheapest of the hotels in the area - you can park there, I think, even if you aren't staying there, at the same rate. The staff are friendly, especially front... more

I booked the Hilton Washington through Hotwire and had concerns after reading reviews from others. We found it to be a very good location, very helpful staff and we did not experience any noise. There is extensive renovations, which could cause some noise but we did not notice any (and we are rather sensitive to noise!). The rooms are small... more

The 6th floor view of the Washington monument from our spacious room was a nice touch. It was nice to walk down the street to the heart of Dupont Circle. There are many excellent restaurants, clubs, coffee shops, bookstores, etc. within walking distance. For this reason, it is a great place to stay for couples, young professionals and families alike.... more

I booked on Priceline and was quite concerned about the number of negative reviews I saw. However, the hotel turned out to be quite acceptable. We were informed upon check-in that the hotel was under renovation, and I asked if a renovated room was available. The desk clerk told me they were sold out, but he said he was giving... more

As mentioned renevations are on going, so my tip is to request a upgrade to a higher floor where ever possible. Upgraded to a suite, with seperate lounge/bed/bathroom area.. Lounge and Bed are spacious enough, but bathroom is small, and with a rust stain around the drain of the basin somewhat of a let down to the room. Air conditioner... more
