I was very disappointed in this hotel from the moment we arrived. The hotel is located on very busy Connecticut Avenue and it there is only one many entrance. The 6th floor view of the Washington monument from our spacious room was a nice touch. It was nice to walk down the street to the heart of Dupont Circle. There are many excellent restaurants, clubs, coffee shops, bookstores, etc. within walking distance. As mentioned renevations are on going, so my tip is to request a upgrade to a higher floor where ever possible. Upgraded to a suite, with seperate lounge/bed/bathroom area..
