I stayed here for a couple of nights in September 2006, primarily for a place to sleep while checking out the sights in DC. The neighborhood was so-so (not too threatening) and though it was several miles North of the tourist attractions there was a metro station within walking distance and this was how I got in to town both... more
I stayed here for 4 nights. It's not the lowest price around. The neighborhood is safe but the elevator didn't work during the entire time and the building is 4 stories tall. The rooms are decent but there are maintenance issues throughout, busted door latch, bathroom amenities etc. There's also nothing within close walking distance (.5 miles) however bus routes... more
I had to go to washington, 1/2 & 1/2 business/fun. I booked the Motel 6 in 3 days. Go on line and find a coupon for the motel and the supershuttle, save a few bucks. I used supershuttle for $12.00 (w/ coupon) from DCA to the motel, cheaper than a taxi. No elevator cuz it was broken. Rooms were clean.... more
What a lousy place - if it wouldn´t have been that late by the time I walked in and payed ridiculous $102.79 I would have ran away right away. The sheets were partially dirty with stains that wont come off, paper on the bathroom floor and the tv reception was terrible (blurry pic). I recommend to NOT stay at this... more
This hotel which was located less than 10 mins from downtown DC. It was located in an OK area with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby but the hotel itself wasnt my cup of tea. When we were checking in the receptionist charged me $20 extra saying it was DC taxes so I just agreed as it was a long... more
I have to stay in room on 3rd floor that has door to the other room. I heard voices of the next room talking very loud until 11 pm on 11/22/07 then come with smell of smoking(not cigarette or cigar). I have never smell any other than cigar and cigarette but I guess this one is must be illegal tobacco.... more
we stayed in this hotel for three nights. The hotel is newly renovated and lively. The Rooms are very clean and the staffs are very feindly. The hotel has Free wireless internet services, whcih most motel-6 don't and we like that. We enjoyed the out door pool, good for hot DC Weather. The hotel is one of the best Motel-6... more
First off the location is in one of the worst areas in DC. Homeless would congregate in the lobby all hours of the day and they would ask for money every time we walked by. Front desk was extremely rude and tried to charge me $20 more than my reserved price. The rooms were very dirty and the linen was... more
I would advise anyone considering staying in this Motel 6 to seriously reconsider. I gave my credit card and driver's license to the desk when I checked in. My driver's license was returned to me, but not my credit card. Unfortunately for me, I didn't notice this oversight. The next day, I went to the front desk to book another... more
