Stayed here on a whim with my wife, using my annual free night I had earned via my Priority Club credit card. Simply put, it is perhaps the most elegant, well-appointed, and sophisticated hotel I have ever stayed in. We loved it, although we only stayed one night. The hotel was super easy to get to even though we didn't... More

This hotel is just a gorgeous piece of historical preservation. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are large and beautiful. The front desk was outstanding. You can walk to most historic locations and enjoy the area. Highly recommended!

Stayed here in Aug 2012 and enjoyed the stay. Positives: + Location- in a lovely part of town, very close to White House & your bus stops outside. + Elegant rooms, with the usual IC beds and housekeeping standards. + The Round Robin bar is an elegant & refined place to have pre-dinner cocktails. + The public areas of the... This hotel had a great location, staff, and facility. In front of the hotel there are several restaurants with really good food. Its really close to several national monuments including the aquarium, white house, capital building. Also close drive to washington monument. The staff was really helpful and showed us where to go on our trip and gave us the... More

I have spent a lot of time in this part of the city, which is a great location for visitors to DC, especially if you like to walk. The Willard is just across the street from the J.W. Marriott, which is also a lovely hotel. But the Willard is in a different class, as a unique and memorable historic property.... More

I was lucky enought to travel to Washington DC with my son's fiance, who had a won a grant to study the Civil War/Slavery. While she was in classes all day and most nights, I was free to do a lot of sightseeing. I had been to DC 5 times before for the National League of Citys but never got... More

I stayed at the Willard for one night whilst visiting friends in the DC area. It is a very impressive property in terms of it's interior (the lobby will floor you) and exterior. I have stayed in other hotels close by, such as the JW Marriott, but this has been my favorite and I would return again. I rated it... More

The staff, from registration to bellhop to valet went above and beyond. They were courteous and assisted in any way they could. When my husband talked to the manager about being billed $10 a night for EACH device we own (Two personal laptops, One iPad, One work laptop), he graciously reduced the cost. THAT's great customer service. Housekeeping took special... More

My husband and I stayed at The Willard for three nights in early August. We could not have asked for a better experience. Check in was a breeze and we were upgraded to a bigger room immediately. The room was large and very clean. There was a coffee maker in the room, which is most appreciated by us. We requested... More
