Stayed at The Madison in June 2009 for a convention. I'd say the hotel was good, but not without issues. My room was very nice, not huge but certainly not too small. Bed was extremely comfortable, shower was very good, towels big and fluffy, bathroom clean and updated, massage chair was wonderful after long days spent walking around the convention... more

Got a great deal on Hotwire and it was worth every penny. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The rooms are spacious and if you are looky enough to get a room with a massage chair thats an extra bonus. No view to speak of, but who's sitting in a window in a city like DC anyway.... more

BEWARE - they will add $40/day to your room for their parking. Parking garages available across the street and next door much cheaper. No pool. No ice machine. Small rooms w/ no view. I felt like I was crammed in a closet they turned into a room. Staff was very friendly but I wouldn't say knowledgeable. The only thing we... more

My boyfriend and I travelled to DC to see a Nationals game and booked a room at The Madison online. Upon arrival a very knowledgeable front desk associate checked us in and gave us the room key. When we went upstairs we discovered that we were in a room across from the elevators. Within the room you cannot hear the... more

This is a great hotel for sightseeing in Washington DC. It is within walking distance of the Mall and Smithsonian museums. Its also close to the Metro if you prefer. The room was clean, quiet, spacious and very well-presented. The front desk staff were highly professional in their approach . I did make a request for a room change (due... more

We flew in late on Sunday night and ended up dining at the Pallet. The menu was extremely overpriced and there were six or seven men there working who appeared to have nothing to do but come around our table every few minutes and loiter nearby. They were attentive, but our food still took two hours to arrive, at which... more

For a leisure trip, this was not a good hotel. The room was fine, but we had to ask for things at least twice. (How to book a car to Dulles, fixing the room safe, etc) Room wifi is expensive, and should be included in the room price. The restaurant is expensive and adds an amazing 20% service charge. When... more

The Madison is an ok hotel in an ok location. I stayed for one night alone after a conference. The staff were lovely, really nice and really friendly. My room was average and the view was horrendous, out onto an office block. I was kinda revolted to discover on leaping in to the bath that I was not alone- there... more

Don't be fooled by the negative reviews. My husband and I stayed 4 nights at The Madison while attending our daughter's college graduation. I have a broken ankle so we phoned ahead to make sure that we could be accommodated with a room near the elevator, etc. The front desk could not have been more pleasant and assured us that... more

Our stay at the Madison Hotel was amazing. Every single person working at the hotel did whatever they could to make our stay pleasant. We requested a room on a low floor, a crib and a refrigerator due to the need for kosher food. The hotel staff bent over backwards to make our stay over Shabbat comfortable, All of our... more
