Georgetown is a wonderful place to stay even though there is no really close Metro Station. We caught the Circulator bus from Union Station & used it all the time we were there. There are several very good restaurants in the area, we ate at Mr Smith's (so so), Bodega (wonderful), Bistro Francais (very good) and sat in the booth... more

We had reserved a non-smoking room for my wife, my daughter, and me to visit Georgetown University, and the reservation clerk confirmed a non-smoking room with a roll-away bed for my daughter. We arrived late, around 11:00PM, and were shown to a tiny corner room, which reeked of smoke. The maintenance man brought in an old mattress and dropped it... more

I Feel I have been misled, not to say cheated, by the way the quality of the rooms are described on the internet, and then the reality which is presented to us. It was said that the room was on a 3rd floor with inside window! What should have been said was 3rd floor underground, without any windows nor daylight.... more

We decided to stay at the Latham hotel for the 4th of July weekend. We had an excellent rate of $80.00/night. We had a single room, kingsize bed. My niece had a room with 2 double beds for herself, husband and 2 boys. The rooms were small, but nicely appointed, clean and very pleasant, desk for working, marble floors in the... more

My 9 year old daughter and I stayed at the Latham Hotel and were delighted with the experience! We found the hotel on trip advisor and in 2 of the guide books I researched. We booked through the trip advisor link to booking.com and got an outstanding rate. The staff was extremely professional and very helpful! The room was very... more

I valet parked my car with the hotel last month and found a mont blanc pen stolen from the vehichle. I notified the hotel via the 'contact us' feature on their website numerous times. I didn't get a single response from them. I then chose to call their executive office to advise them of the theft. I didn't get a... more

Excellent location for shopping, bars and restaurants, and close to Georgetown University...the reason for our travel. We had many relatives there for our son's graduation from grad school. The hotel is pretty, nice and clean, but the rooms and bathrooms were very small and somewhat claustrophobic...understandably, since this is an older building. The pillows were hard and very uncomfortable. A/C... more

Just got back from a four-night stay, and I would say this is a good hotel overall with the potential to be great. It falls a bit short because, as others have noted, the rooms are dated and need some sprucing up. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, staff were nice and the location, in the heart... more

I called this morning to check on accommodations for an upcoming reservation. Finally reached the right person after being transferred incorrectly 3 times. Clearly, the person at the front desk who took my call was annoyed at having to provide a customer wiith service. Answered the phone unprofessionally. He was terribly put out by simple query and the effort it... more

We have never had worse car valet service -----even for 2 cars. First, the valet people could hardly understand English. Second, rather than help us, they were too busy complaining that a woman (a guest) wanted her car at 6-15 AM (translated----"I want an advance tip".) Third, even if you are going to their restaurant Citronelle, they want the "discount"... more

Thank you for your comments. I reviewed them with our valet team in hopes to solve this issue. I look forward to having you at our property again.
