We stayed in this hotel for Thanksgiving weekend and everything was amazing. Room was very clean and everything worked perfectly. Hotel location is very convenient: only few minutes walking from the City Hall and Love Park. Hotel provides FREE car service. Drivers were extremely nice and not only drove us but also gave a little guided tour through the city!... More

We booked The Latham through Hotwire four months in advance in preparation for traveling to DC for a friend's wedding, and were very excited about the Georgetown location. At midnight the night before departure, I went on the hotel website to look up directions from the airport only to discover that the hotel had been closed for almost two months... More

Cheaper rooms (like with Priceline) are in the basement without exterior window. Also, on weekend, it can be pretty noisy during the evening/night because the restaurant (Citronelle) is on the same level and walls are thin as paper. Excellent service and amazing location however.

While preparing for our trip to DC one day i was playing with Priceline and got this hotel for really cheap. Wasn't really ready to get the hotel but oh, well. Looked here and was a little nervous about staying here but decided to go with an open mind. We arrived at the hotel about noon on July 13th. The... More

The hotel will be closed for repairs until early 2013 according to the website. It sounds like a storm did water damage to the hotel and Citronelle. Sounds liKe they are looking at redoing everything so if that happens there will be new carpet, furniture, TVs, fixtures, and a nice new restaurant.

This property is located in the heart of G'town village with Citronelle 'in the house"! Great start, but not much to boast about after that. The G'town Village Executive floor sounds great, right? Third floor is actually underground. My room was of good size, but the bathroom (shower and toilet) were exceptionally tiny. Seriously, if you are overweight at all,... More

We arrived at the Latham with an open mind after reading several reviews. We too, were given a room on the third floor which is the basement. We are world travellers and not too picky but being in the basement with no outside window was not pleasant. The air conditioner was very load and the tv was small and ancient.... More

My thirteen year old son and I flew in DC from the Netherlands and arrived at the Latham Sunday evening July 15th to find out the hotel was closed, There was a note on the door with no information other than that the hotel was closed. We knocked on the door and a security guy told us we should go... More

The Latham Hotel (as well as the attached Citronelle restaurant and La Madeliene bakery) were closed effective 12 July 2012 because of "water damage" during recent storms in DC I arrived on July 16 with a prepaid reservation... was greated by a sign on the door announcing the closure. A call to the hotel number confirmed that it was closed,... More
