Lisa's service was really bad. We stayed there for 3 days 2 nights. She was not helpful at all and was very unfriendly. She always looked annoyed and everytime we asked her something, it seemed like she couldn't be bothered to answer. It took her 20 minutes to do our check -in while the other receptionist took only like 5... More

I've stayed at the Beacon Hotel before but hadn't written up a review. When I travel on business I look for a hotel in a city that I want to return to on a regular basis. In Washington, DC it's the Beacon Hotel for me. The rooms a very comfortable. The service is great whether at the front desk, the... More

I had the pleasure of staying at the Beacon Hotel for the first time this week. I must say my husband and I are thoroughly impressed. One of the front desk staff members, Denise, was especially awesome. She took such good care of us from the minute she welcomed us during our check-in to our dialogue throughout the week as... More

The hotel was very nice and great location. Besides that, the hotel had horrible service when I first checked in. They made it very difficult for me and were very rude to me. After the whole check in experience everything went smoothly until I got my car back from valet and my sunglasses and case were stolen from my car.... More

The Beacon was wonderfully accommodating. Denise at the front desk was gracious and professional, making my last minute travel feel well planned. From early check-in to late check out, the entire staff was unwavering. With a late work schedule, look to other food options as the BGB shuts down early, particularly for being in DC.

Nice contemporary looking hotel, cozy environment. Good for business trips etc. Clean interior. Small reception area but friendly staff. They will help you find the local attractions and restaurants. The hotel's location is great, within a walking distance of National Geographic museum, Dupont Circle and subway stations in Dupont and Farragut north. Couldn't be more convenient. I would recommend this... More

I stayed in the hotel with a friend for three days to visit DC. The room was big and nice, and the restroom was clean and tidy. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only drawback was the air conditioning. It made a lot of noise, so that we had to switched off for watching tv or sleeping. Overall, it... More

Thank you for your recent visit and for sharing your experience, I will look into the AC noise issue. it would have been helpful if we would have informed us at the time to see if there was anything out of the ordinary taking place with the AC unit, as this is not the norm. We thank you for you... More

Adequate hotel in a somewhat obscured area a few blocks off of the Farragut North metro stop. It's also close to Kramerbooks, so that's worth noting. Small room with a cramped layout. Despite cold weather, the heat in the room was unreliable and no spare blankets were provided until requested. Room was very clean. Thin walls, so you'll know when... More

Dear Bizzie: Thanks for taking the time to share your impressions. Please choose wisely. My anniversary experience was horrible. I'll list the negatives first: 1. Mold in the rooms refrigerator 2. A room door that was not properly locking for two days 3.A door key that was prematurely de-activated 4. Extremely loud music played on the weekends for a hotel initiated function. 5.Managerial staff that had horrible service. All of my... More

Our room on the 7th floor was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. It had nice big windows, lots of seating options, and a furnished kitchen. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was absolutely perfect! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, and the neighborhood itself has so many interesting buildings and businesses.
