Needed a last minute hotel stay and found this amazing hotel right off of Dupont Circle. The check-in process was quick and efficient. Austin was very welcoming and offered to bring up a bottle of wine since had missed the complimentary wine hour before hand. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was modest in size, but quite nice.... More

Fantastic little hotel with great, walkable neighborhood and easy access to the Metro. Front desk service was outstanding. The room we had was filled with luxury appointments. There were four of us and they accommodated a rollaway a sleeper sofa and a king bed easily. The lobby was small, very art deco and the bar was cozy. They

Very clean and family friendly. Within walking distance of many restaurants and metro stops. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The view wasn't to die for, however, the spacious room made up for it. Would definitely recommend it!

We traveled to DC with our family of four and needed a hotel with a kitchenette in order to prepare simple meals for our child with dietary issues/medical condition that makes it difficult to eat out. I called ahead of time to make sure that the room we reserved had a kitchenette and was stocked with cookware and utensils. Check-in... More

I love Kimpton Hotels and this one is on its way to being another one of my favorite places to visit. It is still a new property and updates are still in the works. For me the room was cozy and the bed once again helped me drift off into a deep sleep after long days exploring the city. The morning breakfast is... We chose the Carlyle Dupont Circle because Travelocity listed the hotel as having free parking. It does not, so beware that the info you see online may be wrong. With the exception of that unpleasant surprise, we liked the hotel and loved the location (just north of Dupont Circle). Pros: Location Free wi-fi Mini-fridge in the room Friendly staff Unexpected... My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Carlyle Dupont Circle this weekend to celebrate his birthday. I love Kimpton hotels, and we generally try to stay at one if it's available when we travel. My experience with this hotel was not on par with the experiences I've had at other Kimpton hotels in the past. We love the... More

Carlyle should be a Kimpton hotel, but it has nothing to do with others from same chain, except the excellent staff and wine hour. Fridge is totally empty, kitchen with no plates or pan (could not even heat a leftover), small closet without any light at all (literally choosing my clothes on the dark for a week), old carpet and... I stayed a week here for business and it was my first stay at a Kimpton. The hotel is funky because some amenities are really really good but in other areas, they're terrible. The staff at this hotel were incredibly nice. When I arrived, the door man actually took my bag from the cab and into the hotel. This is... More

Hotel was good, walking distance to the subway and lots of great restaurants close by. Great place to stay if you want to cook some meals yourself using the kitchenette, but I highly recommend getting out and around the neighbourhood to eat, so many choices within walking distance.
