The hotel is in the best location possible when visiting DC for. Few days, only 2 blocks away from the White House and short cab ride to all museums. You can walk if you want but cab fares are reasonable and so is the bus system. The circular has a stop across the street from the hotel. Being a Hilton... More

This hotel is located in the heart of DC and close to so many wonderful sites. It allows easy access to transportation and the staff is so helpful with your questions. We were treated like royalty and wouldn't hestitate to recommend this to others.

My first room smelled of mold, badly. Also, the carpet was loose and I kept tripping over it. I was moved to the 14th floor (to a similar room, no real upgrade for being Diamond). Hotel bar now doesn't open until 4pm and the staff is pretty grumpy. I ended up taking clients next door to the St. Regis for... More

Our reservation was for saturday so we could at least get a few hours of sleep because our flight got in very late. We arrived sunday at 2am and did not get a room until 430am. The receptionist had us wait for more than 2 hours to get a room because he was "busy finishing a report" and later because... More

The staff at the Capital Hilton - in particular Theresa Thomas at the front desk - made a stay where I was coordinating things for 6 rooms and 9 persons, easy and relaxing. The facilities were great. The rooms were perfect. My only complaint would be the limited TV channel selection. Otherwise, well done.

My partner and I stayed at the Capital Hilton in September 2013. He's a gold member of the Hilton loyalty club, so we had an executive room. It was very spacious and overlooked 16th Street. Nice view, even if it was just of the street below. The staff were very nice, especially the concierge who seemed to do double duty,... More

Just enjoyed a very pleasant, one-night stay here. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and staff was very friendly. This is a grand old hotel that has been well-maintained. No complaints whatsoever- looking forward to returning next time I visit downtown Washington. One tip for travelers driving in- park at Atlantic Garage right next door (1501 K Street W)... More

There are so many things to say about this hotel it's hard to know where to begin. Knowing the hotel's distinguished history (built during WWII) can raise all sorts of anxieties about how well it's adapted to contemporary expectations. Never fear--this hotel is superb. Sleeping rooms have been fully updated. The lobby is open and inviting, with a welcoming, well-trained... More

The service staff are excellent throughout. The rooms and amenities are good . The Executive Lounge is a very convenient and well maintained feature well worth the price . Would certainly recommend given the excellent downtown location

Its a great hotel, nice location, but the person who check us in was rude gave our room to somebody else and we needed to wait until 9 PM that the manager returned to get our room (and we're getting married the following day!). The manager was very nice and able to solved our problem but it was already 9pm!... More
