The staff was very helpful, especially Hassan. He made sure we had maps, great restaurant choices, and extra information when necessary. The room was comfortable and convenient, great arrangement for us because we had a baby in the group. The room was quiet, a great sanctuary after a busy day on the Mall. We walked to all the locations, strolling... More

The location of this hotel was good - walking distance to the attractions. The bell boy was very helfpul when we first arrived. We were surprised to find our room had a kitchen which was good to buy breakfast from the convenience store next door and eat it in the room. We stayed for 3 nights and had VERY hot... More

The State Plaza was a pleasant surprise. Our room was very large, with kitchen, dressing room and decent bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to the Mall, with a 24 convenience store next door. We stayed there because of positive reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. lellismurphy

We got a suite at the State Plaza hotel and it was just perfect for us. We had a full kitchen, little diningroom table and livingroom with a pull out sofa. The service was great. The front desk gave us several great recommendations for restaurants and called us a cab whenever we needed it. The bellmen couldn't have been more... More

This was my second multi-day stay at the State Plaza within 6 months, and the experience has only gotten better (with one exception noted below). The staff is the friendliest and most courteous I have encountered in this city, and the level of cleanliness and service can't be beat. Example--I had a minor plumbing problem that I mentioned before leaving... More

First of all, I traveled with my husband and two boys (9 and 11). The hotel is old. It needs updating but for the low price we paid, it is still an okay place to stay. The service was excellent, the staff was helpful. The room was clean - bathroom a bit dingy - but the best part were the... More

My sister & I stayed here and we loved it! Wonderfully responsive staff; great eats in the restaurant too. Very spacious & clean room with full kitchen--great for saving money! There is a drug store (with groceries too) right next door--very convenient. The Metro is only about 6 short blocks away--very close. Great location close to the Mall, close to... More

We booked our reservation at this hotel through Southwest Airlines Web Site, When we went to check out of our room, they charged us $195 more for the last two nights of our four night stay than was indicated on Southwest Airlines' web site and the confirmation email that was sent to us. After talking to Southwest, The State Plaza... More

The staff here are professional but it seems to be lacking that little bit of friendliness that makes your vacation memorable. The rooms have a sterile feeling, but are very neat and clean no complaints there. Location is good but not great. You will probably battle to find something better in this price range. Being west of White House it... More

We recently visited DC for the first time and stayed at a lovely, friendly hotel. The staff were very helpful and responsive. The room was pleasant with enough room to feel very comfortible and it included a kitchen for quick meals! The hotel location was perfect! We were within a few minutes of the subway and bus stops. There were... More
